Abstract

A computer-implemented method of controlling content includes receiving an input from the user and monitoring content in an application program or content exchanged between the application program and an operating system residing at the user'"'"'s computer system. The method includes determining whether monitored content corresponds to a predetermined advertisement. If the monitored content corresponds to the predetermined advertisement, the predetermined advertisement is replaced with another predetermined advertisement based on the user input.

56. An observation program stored in a computer-readable storage medium, comprising instructions to cause a processor to:

receive content which includes at least one term;

generate, in response to an interest of a user of the content, a replacement rule that appends to or replaces each term of the at least one term with at least one hyperlink relating to said each term; and

append to or insert said each term with the at least one hyperlink according to the generated replacement rule.

57. The observation program of claim 56, wherein the content is a document.

58. The observation program of claim 56, wherein the content is a web page.

59. The observation program of claim 56, wherein said each term is appended to or inserted with the at least one hyperlink further according to an identification associated with the user of the content.
