Abstract

Graphical advertisements or Glads are provided for presentation by a graphical user interface by a system service provider. The system stores user data in a user database based on user interaction with the user graphical interface. The system also stores a database of the Glads. Glads are identified based on the user data and a graphical representation associated with the Glad is provided to the graphical user interface for presentation in a first area of the graphical user interface. An indication of a user moving the graphical representation from the first area of the interface to a second area of the interface is received by the system, and an association of the glad with the user is stored based on the location of the second area within the graphical user interface.

Claims

1. A method of providing a graphical advertisement (Glad) for a graphical user interface, the method comprising:

storing user data in a user database based on user interaction with the user graphical interface;

storing a database including a plurality of Glads;

identifying a glad based on the user data;

providing a graphical representation associated with the Glad to the graphical user interface for presentation in a first area of the graphical user interface;

receiving an indication of a user moving the graphical representation from the first area of the interface to a second area of the interface; and

storing an association of the glad with the user based on the location of the second area within the graphical user interface.

2. The method of claim 1 further comprising storing filters associated with each Glad, wherein identifying a glad based on user data includes applying the user data to the filters, the filters indicating one or more of who, what, where, and when conditions associated with the user data.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the second area includes a representation of a calendar and storing the association includes creating a calendar event on a date in the calendar for the glad based on the location.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the second area includes a representation of a shopping list for a plurality of items and storing an association includes associating the glad with one of the plurality of items.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein the second area includes a representation of a to-do list for a plurality of items and storing an association includes associating the glad with one of the plurality of items.

6. The method of claim 1 further comprising providing data via the graphical user interface allowing a user to print the graphical representation.

7. The method of claim 1 further comprising transmitting data to a mobile device associated with the graphical representation.

8. The method of claim 7 wherein the data provides the graphical representation.

9. The method of claim 8 wherein the data includes one of an incentive, a coupon, a value, a discount, and a rebate.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the graphical representation provides visual information indicating one of an incentive, a coupon, a value, a price, a discount, an offer, and a rebate associated with a product or a service.

11. A method of providing a graphical advertisement (Glad) for a graphical user interface, the method comprising:

storing user data in a user database based on user interaction with the user graphical interface;

storing a database including a plurality of Glads, wherein each glad has one or more associated filters;

identifying a glad based on filters and the user data;

providing a graphical representation associated with the Glad to the graphical user interface;

receiving an indication of user interaction with the graphical representation; and

storing an association of the glad with the user.

12. The method of claim 11 wherein identifying a glad includes applying the user data to the filters, the filters indicating one or more of who, what, where, and when conditions associated with the user data.

13. The method of claim 11 wherein receiving an indication includes receiving an indication of moving the graphical representation from a first area of the interface to a second area of the interface and storing an association includes storing the association based on a location of the second area.

14. The method of claim 13 wherein the second area includes a representation of a calendar and storing an association includes creating a calendar event on a date in the calendar for the glad.

15. The method of claim 13 wherein the second area includes a representation of a shopping list for a plurality of items and storing an association includes associating the glad with one of the plurality of items.

16. The method of claim 13 wherein the second area includes a representation of a to-do list for a plurality of items and storing an association includes associating the glad with one of the plurality of items.

17. The method of claim 11 wherein receiving an indication includes receiving an indication of selection of the graphical representation and providing an web address to the user interface in response to the selection.

18. The method of claim 11 further comprising providing data via the graphical user interface allowing a user to print the graphical representation.

19. The method of claim 11 further comprising transmitting data to a mobile device associated with the graphical representation.

20. The method of claim 19 wherein the data provides the graphical representation.

21. The method of claim 19 wherein the data includes one of an incentive, a coupon, a value, a discount, and a rebate.

22. The method of claim 11 wherein the graphical representation provides visual information indicating one of an incentive, a coupon, a value, a price, a discount, an offer, and a rebate associated with a product or a service.

23. The method of claim 11 wherein receiving an indication includes receiving an indication of dragging the graphical representation from a first area of the interface to a second area of the interface and dropping the graphical representation in the second area, the method further comprising storing an association includes storing the association based the second area.
