1. A circuit for controlling a light emitting diode (LED) lighting fixture via a power line, said circuit comprising:
- a power switch coupled to said power line and for outputting a firing angle;
a control circuit coupled to said power switch and for implementing firing angle control of said power switch; and
a translator coupled to receive said firing angle and for mapping said firing angle to a function of said LED lighting fixture.
