Abstract

A system and method for providing position information using a three-dimensional based grid is provided. The position information may be relayed to an electronic device by providing location information to a database and receiving location-centric information at the electronic device. The system may include a network for continuously updating the database in real-time.

Claims

1. A method of retrieving location-centric information, comprising:

identifying a geographic location from a plurality of geographic locations within a base grid using an electronic device, the base grid being defined by a plurality of volumes, the volumes defining the plurality of geographic locations within the base grid;

identifying a property associated with the geographic location;

querying a database based on data associated with the property, the geographic location being associated with a location of the electronic device, and the database including information associated with at least some of the plurality of the geographic locations within the base grid;

receiving directly from the database a data set associated with the identified property, the data set including a selectable icon associated with making a bid; and

transmitting data associated with a selection of the icon associated with making a bid.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein identifying the geographic location includes identifying the geographic location seamlessly.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein querying a database based on data associated with the property includes querying a database based on a geocode associated with the geographic location.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving the data set associated with the identified property includes receiving the data set in real-time.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving the data set associated with the identified property includes receiving information that has been dynamically updated via a network, the dynamically updated information being associated with the identified geographic location.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving the data set associated with the identified property includes:

receiving information based on sensor data that has been dynamically updated via a network, the dynamically updated information being associated with the identified geographic location.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the database is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the electronic device.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the database is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the identified property.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving from the database an audio response.

10. A processor-readable medium storing code representing instructions to cause a processor to perform a process, the code comprising code to:

provide information related to a geographic location associated with a position of an electronic device to an information system, the geographic location being located within a base grid;

receive a location identifier associated with a property at the geographic location from the information system;

receive a first menu of location-centric information associated with the property directly from the information system, the first menu having a plurality of selectable icons; and

transmit data associated with a selection of an icon from the plurality of icons to the information system, the plurality of selectable icons including an icon associated with making a bid.

11. The processor-readable medium of claim 10, wherein the code is configured to associate geocode based on the geographic location with the location-centric information.

12. The processor-readable medium of claim 10, wherein the code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information includes code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information in real time.

13. The processor-readable medium of claim 10, wherein the code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information includes code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information that has been dynamically updated via a network.

14. The processor-readable medium of claim 10, wherein the code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information includes code for receiving a first-of location-centric sensor information, the sensor information being dynamically updated via a network.

15. The computer-executable software code of claim 10, wherein the information system is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the electronic device.

16. The computer-executable software code of claim 10, wherein the information system is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the property.

17. The computer-executable software code of claim 10, further comprising:

receiving from the database an audio response.

18. A processor-readable medium storing code representing instructions to cause a processor to perform a process, the code comprising code to:

provide information related to a geographic location associated with a position of an electronic device to an information system, the geographic location being located within a base grid;

receive a location identifier associated with a property at the geographic location from the information system;

receive a first menu of location-centric information associated with the property directly from the information system, the first menu having a plurality of selectable icons;

transmit data associated with a selection of an icon from the plurality of icons to the information system; and

receive an audio response directly from the database based on the selection.

19. The processor-readable medium of claim 18, wherein the audio response includes a description of the property.

20. A method of retrieving location-centric information, comprising:

identifying a geographic location from a plurality of geographic locations within a base grid using an electronic device, the geographic location being associated with a location of the electronic device, the base grid being defined by a plurality of volumes, the volumes defining the plurality of geographic locations within the base grid;

identifying a property associated with the geographic location;

querying a database based on data associated with the identified property, the database including information associated with at least some of the plurality of the geographic locations within the base grid;

receiving directly from the database a first information data set associated with the identified property;

querying the database based on the first information data set; and

after the querying the database based on the first information set, receiving from the database a second information data set associated with the identified property.

21. The method of claim 20, wherein the identifying the geographic location includes identifying the geographic location seamlessly.

22. The method of claim 20, wherein the querying the database based on data associated with the property includes querying a database based on a geocode associated with the geographic location.

23. The method of claim 20, wherein the receiving the first information data set associated with the identified property includes receiving the information associated with the identified property in real-time.

24. The method of claim 20, wherein the receiving the first information data set associated with the identified property includes receiving information that has been dynamically updated via a network, the dynamically updated information being associated with the identified geographic location.

25. The method of claim 20, wherein the receiving the first information data set associated with the identified property includes:

receiving information based on sensor data that has been dynamically updated via a network, the dynamically updated information being associated with the identified geographic location.

26. The method of claim 20, wherein the first information data set includes information associated with a potential real estate transaction at the identified property.

27. The method of claim 20, wherein the database is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the electronic device.

28. The method of claim 20, wherein the database is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the identified property.

29. A processor-readable medium storing code representing instructions to cause a processor to perform a process, the code comprising code to:

provide to an information system information related to a geographic location associated with a position of an electronic device, the geographic location being located within a base grid;

receive a location identifier associated with a property at the geographic location from the information system;

receive a first menu of location-centric information associated with the property directly from the information system, the first menu having a plurality of selectable icons;

transmit data associated with a selection of an icon from the plurality of icons to the information system; and

receive a second menu of location-centric information based on the selection, the second menu having a plurality of selectable icons.

30. The processor-readable medium of claim 29, wherein the code is configured to associate a geocode based on the geographic location with the location-centric information.

31. The processor-readable medium of claim 29, wherein the code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information includes code for receiving the first set of location-centric information in real time.

32. The processor-readable medium of claim 29, wherein the code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information includes code for receiving the first set of location-centric information that has been dynamically updated via a network.

33. The processor-readable medium of claim 29, wherein the code for receiving the first menu of location-centric information includes code for receiving the first set of location-centric sensor information, the sensor information being dynamically updated via a network.

34. The processor-readable medium of claim 29, wherein the information system is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the electronic device.

35. The processor-readable medium of claim 29, wherein the information system is located at a geographic position different from the geographic position of the property.

36. The processor-readable medium of claim 29, wherein the first menu of location-centric information includes information associated with a potential real estate transaction at the property.
