Abstract

Avatars, methods, apparatuses, computer program products, devices and systems are described that carry out obtaining at least one item description; determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar; and transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

obtaining at least one item description;

determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar; and

transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the obtaining at least one item description comprises:

inspecting the at least one item description.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the obtaining at least one item description comprises:

interacting with the at least one item description.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the obtaining at least one item description comprises:

receiving the at least one item description from a merchant.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein the obtaining at least one item description comprises:

receiving the at least one item description from an advertiser.

6. The method of claim 1 wherein the obtaining at least one item description comprises:

producing the at least one item description.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein the obtaining at least one item description comprises:

obtaining at least one of an electronic device description, a clothing description, a medical product description, a food or nutraceutical description, a media content description, or a transportation product description.

8. The method of claim 1 wherein the obtaining at least one item description comprises:

obtaining at least one of a business service description, a medical service description, a financial service description, a technology service description, or a leisure service description.

9. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

comparing the at least one aspect of the item description to at least one aspect of the cohort-linked avatar.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

matching the at least one aspect of the item description to at least one aspect of the cohort-linked avatar.

11. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar based on a quantity of similar or identical aspects.

12. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar based on a quality of one or more similar or identical aspects.

13. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

determining a physical similarity between a physical appearance of at least one item and a physical appearance of the at least one cohort-linked avatar.

14. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

compiling a list of commonalities between the at least one item description and the at least one cohort-linked avatar.

15. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar based on at least one of a similar shape, a similar brand, an identical brand, a similar sound, a similar color, a similar function, or a similar design.

16. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one avatar linked to a demographic group.

17. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one avatar linked to an established population cohort.

18. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one avatar linked to an ad hoc population cohort.

19. The method of claim 1 wherein the determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

performing a best fit regression analysis comparing one or more forms with the at least one cohort-linked avatar.

20. The method of claim 1 wherein the transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity comprises:

transmitting the indication of fit to at least one of a merchant, a marketer, an advertiser, or a host of advertising.

21. The method of claim 1 wherein the transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity comprises:

transmitting a statistical analysis of the indication of fit to the at least one entity.

22. A system comprising:

circuitry for obtaining at least one item description;

circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar; and

circuitry for transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity.

23. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for obtaining at least one item description comprises:

circuitry for inspecting the at least one item description.

24. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for obtaining at least one item description comprises:

circuitry for interacting with the at least one item description.

25. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for obtaining at least one item description comprises:

circuitry for receiving the at least one item description from a merchant.

26. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for obtaining at least one item description comprises:

circuitry for receiving the at least one item description from an advertiser.

27. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for obtaining at least one item description comprises:

circuitry for producing the at least one item description.

28. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for obtaining at least one item description comprises:

circuitry for obtaining at least one of an electronic device description, a clothing description, a medical product description, a food or nutraceutical description, a media content description, or a transportation product description.

29. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for obtaining at least one item description comprises:

circuitry for obtaining at least one of a business service description, a medical service description, a financial service description, a technology service description, or a leisure service description.

30. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for comparing the at least one aspect of the item description to at least one aspect of the cohort-linked avatar.

31. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for matching the at least one aspect of the item description to at least one aspect of the cohort-linked avatar.

32. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar based on a quantity of similar or identical aspects.

33. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar based on a quality of one or more similar or identical aspects.

34. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for determining a physical similarity between a physical appearance of at least one item and a physical appearance of the at least one cohort-linked avatar.

35. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

37. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one avatar linked to a demographic group.

38. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one avatar linked to an established population cohort.

39. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one avatar linked to an ad hoc population cohort.

40. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar comprises:

circuitry for performing a best fit regression analysis comparing one or more forms with the at least one cohort-linked avatar.

41. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity comprises:

circuitry for transmitting the indication of fit to at least one of a merchant, a marketer, an advertiser, or a host of advertising.

42. The system of claim 22 wherein the circuitry for transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity comprises:

circuitry for transmitting a statistical analysis of the indication of fit to the at least one entity.

43. A computer program product comprising:

a signal-bearing medium bearing

(a) one or more instructions for obtaining at least one item description;

(b) one or more instructions for determining an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar; and

(c) one or more instructions for transmitting the indication of fit to at least one entity.

44. The computer program product of claim 43, wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a computer-readable medium.

45. The computer program product of claim 43, wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a recordable medium.

46. The computer program product of claim 43, wherein the signal-bearing medium includes a communications medium.

47. A system comprising:

a computing device; and

instructions that when executed on the computing device cause the computing device to

(a) obtain at least one item description;

(b) determine an indication of fit between at least one aspect of the item description and at least one cohort-linked avatar; and

(c) transmit the indication of fit to at least one entity.

48. The system of claim 47 wherein the computing device comprises:

one or more of a personal digital assistant (PDA), a personal entertainment device, a mobile phone, a laptop computer, a tablet personal computer, a networked computer, a computing system comprised of a cluster of processors, a computing system comprised of a cluster of servers, a workstation computer, and/or a desktop computer.

49. The system of claim 47 wherein the computing device is operable to obtain the at least one item description from at least one memory.

50. The system of claim 47 wherein the computing device is operable to transmit from at least one memory the indication of fit to the at least one entity.
