Abstract

A new class of dibenzothiophene and/or dibenzofuran-containing compounds are provided. The new compounds may be useful in organic light emitting devices, particularly as the host of an emissive layer having a host and an emissive dopant, or as a material in an enhancement layer.

Claims

1. A compound selected from the group consisting of:

wherein each of R₁ through R₈ are independently selected from the group consisting of any alkyl, alkoxy, amino, alkenyl, alkynyl, arylkyl, aryl, heteroaryl and hydrogen, and where each of R₁ through R₈ may represent multiple substitutions.

wherein each of R₁ through R₈ are independently selected from the group consisting of any alkyl, alkoxy, amino, alkenyl, alkynyl, arylkyl, aryl, heteroaryl and hydrogen, and where each of R₁ through R₈ may represent multiple substitutions.

13. An organic light emitting device, comprising:

an anode;

a cathode;

an emissive layer, the emissive layer further comprising

P1, P2, or P7 is a dopant.

14. An organic light emitting device, comprising:

an anode;

a cathode;

an emissive layer, the emissive layer further comprising
