1. An infusion set for introducing a liquid into the body of a patient, the infusion set comprising:

  • a cannula housing comprising a hollow cannula which protrudes from the housing;

    a guide needle inserted into the hollow cannula to guide the cannula into the body of the patient;

    a channel formed in the cannula housing, wherein the channel allows a medication to be guided to an inlet opening of the cannula;

    a sealing element positioned in an area opposite the inlet opening of the cannula, wherein the guide needle emerges from the cannula housing after the cannula is inserted into the body of the patient;

    a deflection element, wherein the guide needle is deflected in an axially displaceable manner, wherein the displacing member is arranged opposite where the guide needle emerges from the cannula housing, wherein the guide needle in an area between the cannula and its entry into the deflection element, has a rectilinear course; and

    a retraction device for retracting the guide needle until it frees the inlet opening of the cannula, wherein the retraction device retracts the guide needle under the deflection by the deflection element.
