Abstract

A circular, cylindrically shaped tool handle holds multiple sizes of tools. The handle includes one or more holding slots each positioned on the outer surface into which tools are inserted and held. Each holding slot includes one or more contoured compartments in which tools rest when engaged with the handle. Each contoured compartment is of a size and dimension which corresponds to one or more tool sizes. Each contoured compartment is formed about a corresponding receiving hole. A lock is positioned over the contoured compartment to irremovably confine the short leg of the hexagonal wrench within the contoured compartment. Hexagonal shaped tools other than wrenches are able to be used with the handle of the present invention such as screwdrivers and socket wrenches. A tool container stores the tools and the tool handle.

Claims

1. A circular cylindrical tool handle for accepting and holding one or more tools of differing sizes during use, wherein the one or more tools include an elongated rod having a bend through a predetermined angle and including a proximal end, and a mounting end between the bend and a distal end, comprising one or more of notches each integrally formed within the tool handle, each of the one or more notches for receiving and holding an appropriate one of the tools, wherein the mounting end of the appropriate one of the tools engages within a corresponding notch.

2. The tool handle according to claim 1 wherein the tool handle includes a circular cylindrical outer surface, the outer surface including two ends opposite from one another.

The tool handle according to claim 1 further comprising a lock configured to secure the one or more tools to the holding slot, wherein the lock applies a securing force to a segment of the one or more tools, further wherein the lock includes a raised component for further securing the lock around the one or more tools within the tool handle.

4. The tool handle according to claim 1 further comprising a tool holder, wherein the tool holder comprises:

a. a tool holding member configured to hold the one or more tools of multiple sizes securely upon insertion; and

b. a tool handle holding member coupled to the tool holding member, wherein the tool handle is configured to hold the tool handle adjacent to the tool holding member.

The tool handle according to claim 1 wherein the tool holding member includes a first side having a first dimension and a second side having a second dimension, the first side positioned proximal to the tool holding member and the second side positioned distal to the tool holding member, wherein the first dimension is larger in length than the second dimension.

6. A tool container comprising:

a. a tool container body configured to hold a group of one or more tools of multiple sizes securely upon insertion; and

b. a retaining mechanism configured partially inside and partially outside of the tool container body for retaining the group of one or more tools.

7. The tool container of claim 6 wherein the one or more tools include an elongated rod having a bend through a predetermined angle and including a proximal end, and a mounting end between the bend and a distal end.

8. The tool container of claim 6 wherein the tool container body is configured to hold a tool handle.

9. The tool container of claim 8 wherein the tool handle comprises a cylindrical tool handle for accepting and holding the one or more tools of differing sizes during use, comprising one or more of notches each integrally formed within the tool handle, each of the one or more notches for receiving and holding an appropriate one of the tools, wherein the mounting end of the appropriate one of the tools engages within a corresponding notch.

10. The tool container of claim 8 wherein the tool handle further comprises a lock configured to secure the one or more tools to the holding slot, wherein the lock applies a securing force to a segment of the one or more tools.

11. The tool container of claim 6 wherein the tool container body comprises a first holding wing and a second holding wing, each configured to hold the group of one or more tools.

12. The tool container of claim 11 wherein the first holding wing is configured to hold metric tools and the second holding wing is configured to hold standard tools.

13. The tool container of claim 6 further comprising a hanging member for hanging the tool container.

14. The tool container of claim 6 wherein the hanging member comprises a first member and a second member which are configured to be pulled in opposite directions to open the tool container body.

15. The tool container of claim 6 further comprising a securing mechanism configured for securing the tool container body in a closed position.

16. The tool container of claim 15 wherein the securing mechanism is configured around a part of a hanging member.

17. The tool container of claim 15 wherein the retaining mechanism is only removable after the securing mechanism is removed.

18. A tool container comprising:

a. a tool container body configured to hold a tool handle and a group of one or more tools of multiple sizes securely upon insertion;

b. a hanging member configured in relation with the tool container body, the hanging member configured to hang the tool container;

c. a retaining mechanism configured partially inside and partially outside of the tool container body for retaining the group of one or more tools at least partially within the tool container body; and

d. a securing member configured for preventing the tool container body from opening.

19. The tool container of claim 18 wherein the one or more tools include an elongated rod having a bend through a predetermined angle and including a proximal end, and a mounting end between the bend and a distal end.

The tool container of claim 18 wherein the tool handle comprises a cylindrical tool handle for accepting and holding the one or more tools of differing sizes during use, comprising one or more of notches each integrally formed within the tool handle, each of the one or more notches for receiving and holding an appropriate one of the tools, wherein the mounting end of the appropriate one of the tools engages within a corresponding notch.

21. The tool container of claim 18 wherein the tool handle further comprises a lock configured to secure the one or more tools to the holding slot, wherein the lock applies a securing force to a segment of the one or more tools.

22. The tool container of claim 18 wherein the tool container body comprises a first holding wing and a second holding wing, each configured to hold the group of one or more tools.

23. The tool container of claim 22 wherein the first holding wing is configured to hold metric tools and the second holding wing is configured to hold standard tools.

24. The tool container of claim 18 wherein the hanging member comprises a first member and a second member which are configured to be pulled in opposite directions to open the tool container body.

25. The tool container of claim 18 wherein the securing mechanism is configured around a part of the hanging member.

26. The tool container of claim 18 wherein the retaining mechanism is only removable after the securing mechanism is removed.

27. A method of storing a group of one or more tools securely, comprising:

a. inserting the group of one or more tools into a tool container;

b. inserting a retaining mechanism in the tool container; and

c. securing the tool container in a closed position with a securing mechanism.

28. The method of claim 27 wherein the retaining mechanism is partially contained within the tool container body, partially extends beyond the tool container body and at least partially extends around the group of one or more tools.

29. The method of claim 27 further comprising inserting a tool handle into the tool container, wherein the tool handle comprises a cylindrical tool handle for accepting and holding the one or more tools of differing sizes during use, comprising one or more of notches each integrally formed within the tool handle, each of the one or more notches for receiving and holding an appropriate one of the tools, wherein the mounting end of the appropriate one of the tools engages within a corresponding notch.

30. The method of claim 27 wherein the tool container comprises:

a. a tool container body which further comprises a first holding wing and a second holding wing where the group of one or more tools are held; and

b. a hanging member for hanging the tool container, the hanging member further comprising;

i. a first member; and

ii. a second member, the first and second members configured to be pulled in opposite directions to open the tool container body.
