Abstract

A computer-implemented method is disclosed for visualizing data relationships between components of a project for identifying potential duplication of selected components. One of the components is data collection assignments.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method for visualizing data relationships between components of a project for identifying potential duplication of selected components, one of the components being data collection assignments, the project being defined by a project database that includes a set of data tables, the method comprising:

(a) defining a set of data collection assignments and incorporating the data collection assignments in the set of data tables;

(b) organizing relationships between the set of data tables in a manner that allows for visually revealing all relationships in each data collection assignment;

(c) querying the project database with an assignment-related query; and

(c) electronically displaying all of the relationships identified by the set of data tables for the query, thereby visually showing all of the relationships identified by the set of data tables for an assignment, including any duplication of assignments.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the project is a clinical trial.
