WATER-REPELLENT COATING CLAD ARTICLES AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
First Claim
1. A water-repellent film coated article comprising a base material and a water-repellent film formed on a surface of the base material, wherein the water-repellent film is made mainly of silicon oxide and has an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) of more than 0.5 nm but not more than 3.0 nm (0.5 nm<
- Ra≦
3.0 nm) as measured on a surface thereof, and wherein a dynamic coefficient of friction between the surface of the water-repellent film and a wiper rubber under a dried condition is 0.5 or less when allowing the wiper rubber to move at a velocity of 50 cm/min on the surface of the water-repellent film while contacting therewith.

Abstract
The present invention relates to a water-repellent film coated article comprising a base material and a water-repellent film formed on a surface of the base material, wherein the water-repellent film is made mainly of silicon oxide and has an arithmetic mean roughness (Ra) of more than 0.5 nm but not more than 3.0 nm (0.5 nm<Ra≦3.0 nm) as measured on a surface thereof. The water-repellent film coated article is excellent in water repellency and durability, and exhibits an excellent wiper operating characteristic on the surface thereof to thereby prevent occurrence of judder.
