1. A method of communication in a wireless personal area network (WPAN) comprising:
- operating an antenna training process to discover first and second communication paths between at least two stations;
ranking according to a quality criterion transmitting and receiving modes;
reporting to the at least two stations a best transmitting mode and a best receiving mode for transmitting and receiving signals over said first and second communication paths; and
establishing a communication link between the at least two stations on a selected communication path based on the quality of said transmitting mode and said receiving mode.
