Abstract

A client terminal acquires from a server terminal one or more document information which includes at least a thumbnail image and document identification information for identifying document data corresponding to the thumbnail image, and includes first annotation data and/or second annotation data associated with the document identification information. If first annotation data is included in respective acquired document information, the client terminal displays a thumbnail image with which the first annotation data is combined, as a list with thumbnail view, on a display unit. If the second annotation data is included in specified document data, the client terminal individually displays specified document data with which the second annotation data is combined, on a display unit.

Claims

1. An information processor which displays a thumbnail image of document data, the information processor including:

a document data selecting unit that selects the document data;

an annotation data selecting unit that selects first annotation data to be displayed in the thumbnail image of the selected document data or second annotation data to be displayed in the document data;

an annotation data adding unit that adds the selected annotation data to the document data; and

a display unit that displays the thumbnail image of the document data to which the annotation data is added,

wherein the display unit displays the thumbnail image with which the annotation data is combined, the annotation data having being added as the first annotation data among the annotation data added to the document data.

2. The information processor according to claim 1, wherein the second annotation data among the annotation data added to the document data is combined with the document data, and the display unit displays the second annotation data.

3. The information processor according to claim 1, comprising:

a document data merging instruction unit that instructs to merge a plurality of the document data; and

a document data merging unit that merges document data instructed to be merged,

wherein the display unit displays the thumbnail image which is combined using the first annotation data of each of the document data among the annotation data added to each of the merged document data.

4. The information processor according to claim 3, wherein the display unit displays the first annotation data of each of the document data merged by the document data merging unit wherein the first annotation data is combined with a thumbnail image of a first page of merged one document data.

5. The information processor according to claim 1, comprising:

a document data division instruction unit that instructs to divide the document data;

a document data dividing unit that divides the document data instructed to be divided;

an annotation data copying unit that copies annotation data added to the document data to be divided, into each of divided document data; and

a thumbnail image generating unit that generates a thumbnail image of the divided document data,

wherein the display unit displays the first annotation data among the copied annotation data wherein the first annotation data is combined with each of the generated thumbnail image.

6. The information processor according to claim 3, wherein the display unit displays the first annotation data which is added to each of the document data merged by the document data merging unit wherein the first annotation data is displayed in a manner to be identifiable.

7. The information processor according to claim 6, comprising a color determination unit which determines color of the first annotation data for each of the document data merged by the document data merging unit so that the first annotation data is displayed in a manner to be identifiable.

8. The information processor according to claim 1, wherein the second annotation data is annotation data added corresponding to a page of the document data.

9. The information processor according to claim 8, comprising:

a page specifying unit that specifies a page of the document data to be displayed; and

an annotation data specifying unit that specifies second annotation data corresponding to the specified page,

wherein the display unit displays the specified second annotation data combined with the document data of the page to be displayed.

10. The information processor according to claim 1, wherein the display unit displays a list of the document data with list view, and comprises

a display mode switching unit that switches between view of the thumbnail image and the list view.

11. The information processor according to claim 1, comprising a facsimile transmission unit that sends the document data by a fax through a facsimile driver,

wherein the facsimile transmission unit sends the document data with which the second annotation data is combined.

12. The information processor according to claim 1, wherein the document data and the thumbnail image corresponding to the document data are stored in a storage unit of a server apparatus connected to the information processor through a network, the information processor further comprising:

an acquisition unit which acquires the document data and the thumbnail image from the server apparatus according to an instruction of a user.

13. A document management system which includes a server apparatus and an information processor that are communicably connected,

the server apparatus comprising:

a unit that holds document data, a thumbnail image of the document data, first annotation data to be combined with at least the thumbnail image, and second annotation data to be combined with at least the document data, and

the information processor comprising;

a document data selecting unit that selects the document data;

an acquisition unit that acquires the selected document data from the server apparatus;

an annotation data selecting unit that selects first annotation data to be displayed in a thumbnail image of the acquired document data or second annotation data to be displayed in the document data;

an annotation data adding unit that adds the selected annotation data to the document data; and

a display unit that displays a thumbnail image of the document data to which the annotation data is added,

wherein the display unit displays the thumbnail image with which the annotation data is combined, the annotation data having being added as the first annotation data among the annotation data added to the document data.

14. A processing method of an information processor which displays a thumbnail image of document data, comprising:

selecting document data according to an instruction of a user;

selecting first annotation data to be displayed in a thumbnail image of the selected document data or second annotation data to be displayed in the document data according to the instruction of the user;

adding the selected annotation data to the document data; and

controlling display of a thumbnail image of the document data to which the annotation data is added,

wherein, in controlling the display, the thumbnail image with which the annotation data is combined is displayed, the annotation data having being added as the first annotation data among the annotation data added to the document data.

15. A computer program stored in a computer readable storage medium, the program causing a computer to execute the method of claim 14.
