AUTOMOBILE DETECTION AND CONTROL GATEWAY INTERFACE AND METHOD THEREOF

1. An automobile detection and control gateway interface, connected with a controller area network (CAN) formed by a body control module and a plurality of body devices, comprising:
- an instruction database, for providing a plurality of device diagnostic commands corresponding to the body devices;
a status database, for providing a plurality of network identifiers and status diagnostic data corresponding to the body devices;
a central processing unit (CPU), for outputting one device diagnostic command corresponding to one body device under detection according to a format of data recorded in the instruction database and matching a data packet with the status database to output one corresponding status diagnostic data; and
a network controller, connected with the controller area network based on a communication protocol of International Standard 15765-4 (ISO 15765-4), comprising;
a transmission data register module, for recording the device diagnostic commands and sequentially outputting the device diagnostic commands over the controller area network to command the body control module to control the corresponding body devices based on the device diagnostic commands; and
a received data register module, for acquiring the network identifiers of the status database and capturing the data packets transmitted over the controller area network to match with the network identifiers, so as to output a matching data packet to the CPU.

Abstract
An automobile detection and control gateway interface and a method thereof are provided. The automobile detection and control gateway interface is connected with a controller area network (CAN) formed by a body control module (BCM) and body devices, and pre-stores a plurality of device diagnostic commands and status diagnostic data, so that the BCM performs corresponding actions on specific body devices according to the device diagnostic commands and capture status feedback data transmitted over the CAN by the body devices, and outputs the status diagnostic data matching with the status feedback data for determining the operation status of the body devices or for the externally connected device to acquire. All the device diagnostic commands are transferred through the BCM to avoid interfering with the operation of the CAN and control the external device connected to the BCM, so as to ensure all the body devices are under control.

22. A method for establishing an automobile detection and control database, adapted to a controller area network (CAN) including a body control module and a plurality of body devices, at least comprising:

determining a configuration structure of the controller area network; capturing a plurality of data packets transmitted over the controller area network each time the body devices act according to the configuration structure; analyzing a control data output by the body control module and a network identifier and a status identifier of the body device by use of the data packets; gathering the configuration structure of the controller area network, a function of the body device, and the network identifier and the status identifier of the body device to form a status diagnostic data and integrating the status diagnostic data of the body devices to form a status database; and determining data interdependence between the control data and the network identifiers corresponding to the body devices, establishing a device diagnostic command for one corresponding body device, and gathering the configuration structure of the controller area network and the device diagnostic commands to establish an instruction database. - View Dependent Claims (23, 24, 25)
