- a first polarizing plate;
a first retardation film;
a liquid crystal cell;
a second retardation film; and
a second polarizing plate in this order from a light incident side,wherein an absorption axis of the first polarizing plate and an absorption axis of the second polarizing plate are orthogonal to each other, andwherein the first retardation film is configured to change a polarization state of light to a state of a fixed point before the light enters the liquid crystal cell so as to allow the liquid crystal cell transmit the light having the polarization state of the fixed point.
