Abstract

A CMDB (configuration information management database) stores a CI (configuration item) and know-how separately. A CMDB data update management unit associates with each set of “property:value” stored in the CI with related know-how in the CMDB. The know-how stores a set of “property:value” common to a number of associated CIs.

Claims

1. A configuration information management apparatus which totally manages a configuration item of an information system and its property information, comprising:

a configuration information management database storing a configuration item of an information system having a set of “

property;

value”

, and know-how relating to each set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item; and

a management device storing the configuration item associated with know-how relating to the configuration item in the configuration information management database on a basis of the set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item.

2. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein

the know-how includes a set of “

property;

value”

common among a number of configuration items associated with the know-how.

3. The apparatus according to claim 2, wherein

the know-how includes as learning data a set of “

property;

value”

not common among a number of configuration items associated with the know-how.

4. The apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising

a similarity determination device determining similarity between a set of “

property;

value”

of each piece of know-how and a set of “

property;

value”

of a new configuration item when the new configuration item is added to the configuration information management database, wherein

the management device associates the new configuration item with know-how having high similarity on a basis of a determination result obtained by the similarity determination device.

5. The apparatus according to claim 4, wherein

when the management device associates the new configuration item with know-how, it is determined to what extent the learning data of the know-how is shared among the configuration items associated with the know-how, and the learning data is registered as a set of “

property;

value”

of the know-how when the extent of the share is high.

6. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein:

when a configuration item is first associated with know-how, the management device provisionally sets a set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item as a set of “

property;

value”

the know-how; and

when a new configuration item is associated with the know-how, the provisionally set of “

property;

value”

common to the set of “

property;

value”

of the new configuration item is registered as a set of “

property;

value”

the execution.

7. The apparatus according to claim 1, wherein

the know-how comprises:

know-how information;

a set of “

property;

value”

;

a common property flag indicating whether or not there is a set of “

property;

value”

having the know-how information in a number of configuration items;

a common number counter counting a number of configuration items whose sets of “

property and value”

are stored; and

link information associating the know-how with a configuration item related to the know-how.

8. A configuration information management apparatus which totally manages a configuration item of an information system and its property information, comprising:

a configuration information management database storing property information about a configuration item of an information system and know-how related to each set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item with each “

property;

value”

of the configuration item associated with related know-how;

a similarity determination device determining similarity of a stored set of “

property;

value”

for a configuration item stored in the configuration information management database; and

a property management device associating configuration items having similarity higher than a predetermined threshold with the same know-how on a basis of a determination result of the similarity determination device.

9. The apparatus according to claim 8, wherein

the know-how comprises:

know-how information;

a set of “

property;

value”

;

a common property flag indicating whether or not there is a set of “

property;

value”

having the know-how information in a number of configuration items;

a common number counter counting a number of configuration items whose sets of “

property and value”

are stored; and

link information associating the know-how with a configuration item related to the know-how.

A computer-readable storage medium storing a program used to direct a computer to function as a configuration information management apparatus which totally manages a configuration item of an information system and its property information, the program directing computer to function as a configuration information management apparatus comprising:

a storage device storing in a configuration information management database storing property information about a configuration item of the information system and know-how relating to a set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item; and

a management device associating each “

property;

value”

of the configuration item with related know-how.

11. The storage medium according to claim 10, wherein

the know-how includes a set of “

property;

value”

common among a number of configuration items associated with the know-how.

12. The storage medium according to claim 11, wherein

the know-how includes as learning data a set of “

property;

value”

not common among a number of configuration items associated with the know-how.

13. The storage medium according to claim 10, wherein

the program directs the computer to function as a configuration information management apparatus comprising a similarity determination device determining similarity between a set of “

property;

value”

of each piece of know-how and a set of “

property;

value”

of a new configuration item when the new configuration item is added to the configuration information management database, wherein

the management device associates the new configuration item with know-how having high similarity on a basis of a determination result obtained by the similarity determination device.

14. The storage medium according to claim 13, wherein

when the made associates the new configuration item with know-how, it is determined to what extent the learning data of the know-how is shared among the configuration items associated with the know-how, and the learning data is registered as a set of “

property;

value”

of the know-how when the extent of the share is high.

15. The storage medium according to claim 10, wherein

when a configuration item is first associated with know-how, the management device provisionally sets a set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item as a set of “

property;

value”

the know-how; and

when a new configuration item is associated with the know-how, the provisionally set of “

property;

value”

common to the set of “

property;

value”

of the new configuration item is stored as a set of “

property;

value”

the execution.

16. The apparatus according to claim 10, wherein

the know-how comprises:

know-how information;

a set of “

value”

;

a common property flag indicating whether or not there is a set of “

having the know-how information in a number of configuration items;

a common number counter counting a number of configuration items whose sets of “

property and value”

are stored; and

link information associating the know-how with a configuration item related to the know-how.

A computer-readable storage medium storing a program used to direct a computer to function as a configuration information management apparatus which totally manages a configuration item of an information system and its property information, the program directing computer to function as a configuration information management apparatus comprising:

a configuration information management database storing property information about a configuration item of an information system and know-how related to each set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item with each “

property;

value”

of the configuration item associated with related know-how;

a similarity determination device determining similarity of a stored set of “

property;

value”

for a configuration item stored in the configuration information management database; and

a property management device associating configuration items having similarity higher than a predetermined threshold with the same know-how on a basis of a determination result of the similarity determination device.

18. The computer-readable storage medium according to claim 17, wherein

the know-how comprises:

know-how information;

a set of “

property;

value”

;

a common property flag indicating whether or not there is a set of “

property;

value”

having the know-how information in a number of configuration items;

a common number counter counting a number of configuration items whose sets of “

property and value”

are stored; and

link information associating the know-how with a configuration item related to the know-how.

19. A configuration information management method for totally managing a configuration item of an information system and its property information, comprising:

a storing step of storing property information about the configuration item of the information system, and know-how related to each set of “

property;

value”

of the configuration item in a configuration information management database; and

a managing step of associating each “

property;

value”

of the configuration item with related know-how in the configuration information management database.

20. The method according to claim 19, further comprising:

a determining step of determining similarity between a set of “

property;

value”

of each piece of know-how and a set of “

property;

value”

of a new configuration item when the new configuration item is added to the configuration information management database, wherein

in the managing step, the new configuration item is associated with know-how having high similarity on a basis of a determination result obtained in the determining step.
