1. A method implemented in a medical apparatus at least a portion of which is implanted in an animal and configured to at least one of transmit or receive a communication, the method comprising:
- receiving a communication;
detecting an indication of a malware in the received communication; and
implementing in the implanted medical device a countermeasure responsive to the detected indication of malware in the received communication.
