determining a history of payment of the fee by the operator;
determining, based at least in part on the history of payment of the fee by the operator, a settlement amount; and
settling with the operator for the settlement amount, wherein the settlement amount is based on an amount owed to the operator in association with the one or more processed electronic payment transactions associated with customers of the vending machine.
