1. A mobile content distribution system for distributing content from a first network device to a mobile device comprising:
- memory receiving in a first media format source content from the first network device;
a database storing configuration information regarding the mobile device, at least a portion of the configuration information being descriptive of at least one media format compatible with the mobile device;
at least one media processor in communication with memory and the database, the media processor dynamically generating mobile content and converting source content from the first media format to the at least one media format compatible with the mobile device; and
a controller in communication with the at least one media processor, the controller initiating a communication to the mobile device, the communication configured to cause the mobile device to establish a communication link with the first network device, upon establishment of the communication link, transferring converted media content to the mobile device in the at least one media format compatible with the mobile device.
