Abstract

An advertisement is provided as an element of a personal space of a user. A video is added to the advertisement. The video is played in relation to the advertisement. The personal space, for example, may be a personal web page, which may be hosted by a social networking provider.

Claims

1. A method performed by a web accessible computer comprising:

providing an advertisement as an element of a personal space of a user;

adding a video to the advertisement;

playing the video in relation to the advertisement.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the user comprises a first party, wherein the personal space is provided by a second party, and wherein the first and second parties are different parties.

3. The method of claim 2 wherein the first party comprises an individual user, and wherein the second party comprises a social networking provider.

4. The method of claim 2 wherein the first and second parties are remotely located from one another and communicate with one another by way of the Internet.

5. The method of claim 2 wherein the personal space comprises a personal web page, and wherein the second party comprises a social networking provider hosting the personal web page.

6. The method of claim 2 wherein the second party comprises a blog website.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein the user comprises a first party, wherein the playing of the video comprises playing the video in response to an electronic access by a second party, and wherein the first and second parties are different parties.

8. The method of claim 7 wherein the first and second parties are remotely located from one another and communicate with one another by way of the Internet.

9. The method of claim 1 wherein the playing of the video comprises:

first playing the video; and

,

subsequently playing the advertisement.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the playing of the video comprises:

first playing the advertisement; and

,

subsequently playing the video.

11. The method of claim 1 wherein the user comprises a first party, wherein the adding of a video to the advertisement comprises associating a video notifier with the advertisement, wherein the video notifier is arranged to notify a second party that the video is linked to the advertisement, and wherein the first and second parties are different parties.

12. The method of claim 11 wherein the playing of the video comprises playing the video in response to an electronic access by the second party.

13. The method of claim 12 wherein the first and second parties are remotely located from one another and communicate with one another by way of the Internet.

14. The method of claim 12 wherein the playing of the video comprises:

first playing the video; and

,

subsequently playing the advertisement.

15. The method of claim 12 wherein the playing of the video comprises:

first playing the advertisement; and

,

subsequently playing the video.

16. The method of claim 12 wherein the playing of the video comprises playing the advertisement, wherein the method further comprises displaying the video notifier in response to the playing of the advertisement, and wherein the playing of the video further comprises playing the video in response to selection of the video notifier.

17. The method of claim 12 wherein the playing of the video further comprises playing the video in response to selection of the video notifier.

18. The method of claim 1 wherein the video comprises a video concerning subject matter of the advertisement.

19. The method of claim 1 wherein the video comprises a video created by the user.

20. The method of claim 1 wherein the user comprises a first party, wherein the video comprises a video created by a second party, and wherein the first and second parties are different parties.
