1. A method of powering up a programmable system-on-a-chip including a programmable logic circuit block and an analog circuit block, the method comprising:

  • ramping up a vcc voltage;

    producing a bandgap-good signal when the bandgap reference circuit is outputting a predetermined bandgap voltage;

    comparing a digital circuit voltage to the bandgap voltage to determine whether the digital circuit voltage has reached a predetermined threshold;

    if the digital circuit voltage has reached a predetermined threshold, determining whether the programmable logic block is functional;

    if the programmable logic block is functional, initializing and configuring digital circuits of the programmable system-on-a-chip;

    comparing an analog circuit voltage to the bandgap voltage to determine whether the analog circuit voltage has reached a predetermined threshold;

    if the analog circuit voltage has reached a predetermined threshold, calibrating an analog-to-digital converter.
