1. A method for making a composite item comprising at least one cosmetic product, or a layer thereof, and at least one decorative element, wherein said at least one decorative element is inserted within a seat being formed in said at least one cosmetic product and said composite item is inserted within a container for cosmetics, the method comprising the steps of:

  • a. making at least one through hole within said at least one cosmetic product, or layer thereof, said at least one through hole having such a size as to allow said at least one decorative element to be at least partially inserted therein;

    b. fastening or resting said at least one decorative element onto a support, said support having at least one base portion which is shaped such as to geometrically interfere with at least one of the inlet openings of said at least one through hole, thereby hindering or preventing said base portion from entering said at least one through hole;

    c. at least partially arranging said at least one decorative element within said at least one through hole, through said inlet opening, said base portion of said support being engaged with said inlet opening of said at least one through hole.
