Abstract

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) voice signal processed into Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) signal. Processor and transmit filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing a Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signal. Processing and filtering a signal and providing cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered baseband signal. Modulator and a transmitter for modulation and transmission of selected or combined signal. A two antenna receiver for receiving transmitted signal, a demodulator, receiver filter and receiver processor for demodulation, filtering and processing of received TDMA signal. Receive filter for filtering of the TDMA signal is mismatched to the transmit filter for filtering of the TDMA signal and receive processor for processing provides processed received baseband mis-match filtered cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase TDMA signal. Processor and transmit baseband filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered baseband signal including a location finder signal. VoIP multimode Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi), Global Mobile System (GSM) cellular network, spread spectrum and CDMA systems. Transmitter operated as a linearly amplified or linearized amplifier transmitter and a second transmitter operated as a Non-Linearly Amplified (NLA) transmitter.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a first processor for processing a voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) voice signal and for processing said voice signal into a first bit rate processed Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) signal;

a second processor and transmit filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing a second bit rate processed and filtered Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signal, wherein said first bit rate has a different rate than said second bit rate;

a selector or combiner for selecting or combining the first or second rate signal;

a modulator and a transmitter for modulation and transmission of the selected or combined signal; and

a receiver for receiving said selected or combined transmitted signal, comprising two antennas for receiving transmitted signal, a demodulator, receiver filter and receiver processor for demodulation, filtering and processing of received TDMA signal wherein the receive filter for filtering of the TDMA signal is mis-matched to the transmit filter for filtering of the first bit rate TDMA signal and receive processor for processing provides processed received baseband mis-match filtered cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase TDMA signal.

6. The system of claim 1 wherein said Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signal comprises cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered baseband signal.

7. The system of claim 1 wherein said Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signal comprises a location finder signal.

8. The system of claim 1 wherein said Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signal comprises a Video over Internet Protocol (ViIP) or video over intranet signal.

9. The system of claim 1 wherein said transmitter comprises a first transmitter operated as a linearly amplified or linearized amplifier transmitter and a second transmitter operated as a Non-Linearly Amplified (NLA) transmitter, wherein said first and second transmitters are distinct transmitters.

10. The system of claim 1 wherein said Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) signal is a signal used in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), specified or recommended in one or more IEEE standards.

11. The system of claim 1 wherein said Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) signal is a wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) signal.

2. A system comprising:

a first processor for processing an internet provided voice signal into a Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) signal;

a second processor and transmit baseband filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered baseband signal;

a modulator and transmitter for modulating and transmitting said first and second processor processed signal; and

a receiver comprising two antennas for receiving the transmitted signal, a demodulator, receiver filter and receiver processor for demodulation, filtering and processing of modulated cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered transmitted and received signal wherein the receive filter for filtering of the received cross-correlated signal is mis-matched to the transmit filter and the receive processor for processing filtered signal provides received baseband mis-match filtered cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase signal.

12. The system of claim 2 wherein said second processor and transmit baseband filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered baseband signal comprises a location finder signal.

13. The system of claim 2 wherein said cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered baseband signal comprises a spread spectrum Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) filtered signal.

The system of claim 2 wherein said cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered baseband signal comprises a first bit rate spread spectrum Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) filtered signal and a second bit rate cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered signal, wherein the first and second rates are different rates.

15. The system of claim 2 wherein said receiver comprises a radio frequency (RF) head end which is located at a remote location from the demodulator.

3. A system comprising:

a first processor for processing an internet provided voice signal into a Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) voice signal;

a second processor and baseband transmit filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing processed cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) filtered signal;

a transmitter comprising two distinct antennas for transmitting said first and second processor processed signal; and

a receiver and demodulator for receiving and demodulating transmitted signal,

comprising two antennas for receiving transmitted signal and a demodulator for demodulation of received signal.

The system of claim 3 wherein said receiver and demodulator for receiving and demodulating transmitted signal comprises two antennas for receiving the transmitted signal, a demodulator, receiver filter and receiver processor for demodulation, filtering and processing of modulated cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband filtered received signal wherein the receive filter for filtering of the received cross-correlated signal is mismatched to the transmit filter and the receive processor for processing filtered signal provides received baseband mis-match filtered cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase signal.

17. The system of claim 3 wherein the TDM modulated signal is provided to a Non-Linearly Amplified (NLA) transmitter and the OFDM modulated signal to a transmitter operated as a linearly amplified or linearized amplifier transmitter.

The system of claim 3 wherein said transmitter comprises a first transmitter operated as a linearly amplified or linearized amplifier transmitter and a second transmitter operated as a Non-Linearly Amplified (NLA) transmitter, wherein said first and second transmitters use separate radio frequency (RF) bands.

19. The system of claim 3 wherein said receiver is a diversity receiver.

20. The system of claim 3 wherein said diversity receiver comprises a radio frequency (RF) head end which is located at a remote location from the intermediate frequency (IF) or from the baseband parts of the diversity receiver.

4. A system comprising:

a first processor for processing an internet provided voice signal into a Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) or Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) voice signal;

a second processor and filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing processed spread spectrum filtered signal;

a third processor and filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing processed Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) filtered signal;

a modulator and transmitter for modulation and transmission of the first, second and third processor processed signal; and

a receiver and demodulator system for receiving and demodulating transmitted signal, comprising two antennas and two receivers for receiving the transmitted signal and one or more demodulator for demodulation of received signal.

21. The system of claim 4 wherein said second processor and filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing processed spread spectrum filtered signal provides cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered spread spectrum Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) signal.

The system of claim 4 wherein said second and third processor and filter provides a first bit rate cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase spread spectrum and a second bit rate cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) filtered signal, wherein first bit rate and second bit rate signals are different rate signals.

23. The system of claim 4 wherein said Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) signal comprises a location finder signal.

24. The system of claim 4 wherein said receiver comprises a radio frequency (RF) head end which is located at a remote location from the demodulator.

25. The system of claim 4 wherein said second bit rate signal comprises a spread spectrum cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered signal.

5. A system comprising:

a first processor and first filter for processing and filtering an internet provided voice signal into a processed, filtered first bit rate signal used in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN);

a second processor and second filter for processing and filtering a signal and for providing processed, filtered second bit rate signal used in Global Mobile System (GSM) cellular network, wherein said first bit rate has a different rate than said second rate;

a transmitter comprising two distinct antennas for transmitting said first and second processor processed signal; and

a receiver and demodulator for receiving and demodulating transmitted signal, comprising two antennas.

26. The system of claim 5 wherein said second bit rate signal is a cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase filtered signal.

27. The system of claim 5 wherein said GSM signal comprises a location finder signal.

28. The system of claim 5 wherein said second bit rate signal is a signal used in the Bluetooth specified system.

29. The system of claim 5 wherein said receiver comprises a receiver, demodulator and filter for receiving, demodulating and filtering received Global Mobile System (GSM) signal and for providing demodulated filtered cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signal.

30. The system of claim 5 wherein said receiver comprises a radio frequency (RF) head end which is located at a remote location from the demodulator.
