1. A method for allocating communication session resources at a wireless communication device having a user thereof, comprising:

  • determining whether one or more physical user interactions are present, at the wireless communication device, that indicate a potential communication session resource request within a threshold period of time, a communication interface of the wireless communication device in a dormant state characterized by the wireless communication device not being permitted to engage in a communication session with a wireless communication network; and

transitioning, based on the determining step, the communication interface of the wireless communication device from the dormant state to an active state, the active state characterized by the wireless communication device not being permitted to transmit a communication session resource request to the wireless communication network to obtain one or more communication session resources; and

performing, while the communication interface of the wireless communication device is in the active state, one or more actions to reduce a delay associated with a transmission of the potential communication session resource request in the event that the potential communication session resource request is actually transmitted by the wireless communication device.
