Abstract

A method of delivering a curcuminoid to a patient, which includes iontophoretically delivering a charged curcuminoid across the skin of an Alzheimer'"'"'s Disease patient.

Claims

1. A method of delivering a curcuminoid to a patient, comprising the steps of:

a) iontophoretically delivering a charged curcuminoid across a skin of the patient.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the patient has Alzheimer'"'"'s Disease.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the charged curcuminoid is a charged curcuminoid prodrug.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the charged curcuminoid prodrug comprises a glycinate moiety.

5. The method of claim 1 wherein the curcuminoid comprises bisdemethoxycurcumin.

6. The method of claim 1 wherein the curcuminoid is a hybrid of curcumin and resveratrol.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein the curcuminoid is a hybrid of bisdemethoxycurcumin and resveratrol.

8. The method of claim 1 wherein the curcuminoid is a hybrid of curcumin and 3,3′

,4′

fisetin.

9. The method of claim 1 wherein the curcuminoid is a hybrid of bisdemethoxycurcumin and 3,3′

,4′

fisetin.

10. The method of claim 1 wherein the curcuminoid is a hybrid of curcumin and honokiol.

11. The method of claim 1 wherein the curcuminoid is a hybrid of bisdemethoxycurcumin and honokiol.
