Abstract
Methods and systems for secure electronic commerce (eCommerce) transactions having one or more trusted payment hosts where consumers/buyers can register credit card information and/or any payment card information and the corresponding secret keys for the credit card or payment card with the one or more payment hosts are provided. Embodiments of the invention include a method of engaging a purchase order in an online electronic transaction on the spot, where a seller posts and advertises at least one online electronic link embedded in a web-page or in an e-mail provided by a server.

46. A computer-implemented method for a host to process a purchase order in an online electronic transaction between a buyer and a seller, where the seller posts at least one online electronic link provided by a server, comprising:
providing a script for initiating an on-the-spot transaction between the buyer and the seller, wherein the script is embedded in an online advertisement presented to the buyer though the online electronic link of the seller to allow the buyer to invoke the embedded script of the online electronic link, which, when invoked on a computing system of the buyer, is configured for; generating an orderID for the purchase order. generating a payment authorization request for the buyer to complete and to use to authorize payment of the purchase order by a pre-registered payment card of the buyer without disclosing a payment card number, wherein the buyer has pre-registered information related to the payment card in a pre-registered payment account with the host and has assigned secret keys for the pre-registered payment account with the host; receiving, from the host, at least one pre-registered personalization for display to the buyer as part of the payment authorization request, wherein the pre-registered personalization authenticates the identity of the host to the buyer; receiving user input to complete the payment authorization request; sending the payment authorization request to the host after the buyer fills out the secret keys for the pre-registered payment account on the payment authorization request, wherein the payment authorization request includes at least a first copy of the orderID, and the secret keys for the pre-registered payment account; and sending the purchase order and a second copy of the orderID to the seller, verifying the payment authorization request by the host. receiving, from the seller, a payment approval request having the purchase order and the second copy of the orderID, and requesting for payment approval of the purchase order from a payment card issuer of the pre-registered payment card through the host; and matching the payment authorization request received from the buyer and the payment approval request received from the seller by the host by matching the first copy of the orderID with the second copy of the orderID. - View Dependent Claims (47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67)
