Abstract

A method of controlling a mobile terminal is provided. The method may include displaying an icon on the mobile terminal indicating that at least one access-failed website is currently accessible by the mobile terminal. The at least one access-failed website may be a website that the mobile terminal previously failed to access. In response to selection of the icon displayed on the mobile terminal, a website list may be displayed o n the mobile terminal. The website list may include information of the access-failed website that is currently accessible.

Claims

1. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

displaying an icon on the mobile terminal indicating that at least one access-failed website is currently accessible by the mobile terminal, wherein the at least one access-failed website is a website that the mobile terminal previously failed to access; and

in response to selection of the icon displayed on the mobile terminal, displaying a website list on the mobile terminal that includes information of the access-failed website that is currently accessible.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the information includes one of a website address, a website name and an image of a website.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein when one access-failed website included in the website list is selected, the method further comprises displaying a web page that corresponds to the selected website.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein when a proximity signal is provided from a proximity sensor, the method further comprises displaying a specific number of access-failed websites that are currently accessible or displaying a specific number of access-failed websites that are still inaccessible.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the website list includes information of at least one access-failed website that is still inaccessible.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the icon indicates whether a change occurs to an access-failed website that is currently accessible or whether a change occurs to an access-failed websites that is still inaccessible.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein when one access-failed website included in the website list is selected, the method further comprises displaying a web page corresponding to the selected website and displaying a new website list that excludes the selected website.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the website list comprises at least one of uniform resource locators (URLs) and images of the access-failed websites that are currently accessible.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

periodically determining a specific number of access-failed websites that are currently accessible and a specific number of access-failed websites that are still inaccessible to the mobile terminal and displaying results of the determining.

10. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining a specific number of access-failed websites that are currently accessible to the mobile terminal and a specific number of access-failed websites that are still inaccessible to the mobile terminal whenever a new access point is encountered, and displaying results of the determining.

21. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the information includes one of a website address, a website name and an image of a website.

11. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

displaying at least one web browser screen on the mobile terminal, the displayed web browser screen including an error page of a website; and

displaying a web page in the web browser screen when the website becomes accessible to the mobile terminal after the error page is displayed in the web browser screen.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising reaccessing the website at intervals of time and displaying the web page provided by the website or an error page in the web browser screen based on whether the website has been successfully reaccessed.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the intervals of time are set by a user.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein the web browser screen is displayed as a thumbnail.

15. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

generating a website list that includes a plurality of websites;

providing an update notice that includes updated information regarding any one of the websites included in the website list after checking accessibility of each of the plurality of websites; and

providing a connection error notice when a connection error occurs in any one of the websites included in the website list.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the website list comprises a website that has been recently accessed by a user of the mobile terminal, a website that has been most frequently accessed by the user of the mobile terminal, a website that the user has failed to access or a website from which the user has purchased paid services.

17. The method of claim 15, wherein the connection error occurs due to at least one of access restrictions, an urgent inspection of websites, an urgent notice from websites, excessive traffic, a firewall, and web page shutdown.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein providing the update notice comprises providing at least one of a vibration and an alarm sound from the mobile terminal.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein providing the connection error notice comprises providing at least one of a vibration and an alarm sound from the mobile terminal.

20. A mobile terminal comprising:

a wireless Internet module that accesses a website;

a display module that displays an icon to indicate that at least one access-failed website is currently accessible to the mobile terminal, the at least one access-failed website being a website that the wireless Internet module has previously failed to access; and

a controller that controls the display module to display a website list that includes information of the access-failed website that is currently accessible.

22. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein when one of the access-failed websites included in the website list is selected, the controller controls the display module to display a web page that corresponds to the selected website.

23. The mobile terminal of claim 20, further comprising a proximity sensor to provide a proximity signal, wherein when the proximity signal is provided by the proximity sensor, the controller controls the display module to display a specific number of access-failed websites that are currently accessible to the mobile terminal or a specific number of access-failed websites that are still inaccessible to the mobile terminal.

24. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein when a touch signal for the icon is received by the controller, the controller controls the display module to display a website list that includes a specific number of access-failed websites that are still inaccessible.

25. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein the controller controls the display module to display the icon to indicate that one of the access-failed websites that are currently accessible has changed or that one of the access-failed websites that are still inaccessible has changed.

26. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein when one access-failed website included in the website list is selected, the controller controls the display module to display a web page corresponding the selected website and a new website list that excludes the selected website.

27. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein the website list comprises at least one of uniform resource locators (URLs) and images of the access-failed websites that are currently accessible.

28. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein the controller periodically determines a specific number of access-failed websites that are currently accessible and a specific number of access-failed websites that are still inaccessible, and the controller controls the display module to display results of the determining.

29. The mobile terminal of claim 20, wherein the controller determines the specific number of access-failed websites that are currently accessible by the mobile terminal and a specific number of access-failed websites that are still inaccessible by the mobile terminal whenever a new access point is encountered and the controller controls the display module to display results of the determining.

30. A mobile terminal comprising:

a wireless Internet module that accesses a website;

a display module that displays at least one web browser screen and that displays a web page provided by the website or an error page in the web browser screen based on whether the website has been successfully accessed by the wireless Internet module; and

a controller that controls the display module to display a web page provided by the website in the web browser screen when the website becomes accessible after the error page is displayed in the web browser screen.

31. The mobile terminal of claim 30, wherein the wireless Internet module reaccesses the website at intervals of time, and the controller controls the display module to display a web page provided by the website or an error page in the web browser screen based on whether the website has been successfully reaccessed.

32. The mobile terminal of claim 31, wherein the intervals of time are set by a user.

33. The mobile terminal of claim 30, wherein the web browser screen is displayed as a thumbnail.
