Abstract

Disclosed is a method for automatically displaying a menu relating to a specific function by recognizing a user'"'"'s voice command in a call mode, and for directly executing the menu, and a mobile terminal having the same. A mobile terminal may include a microphone configured to receive a user'"'"'s voice in a video call mode, a display for displaying information, and a controller configured to recognize the voice, detect a voice command included in the voice, and automatically display a menu corresponding to the detected voice command on the display.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal, comprising:

a microphone configured to receive a user'"'"'s voice during a video call;

a display configured to display information; and

a controller configured to recognize the voice, detect a voice command included in the voice, and automatically display a menu corresponding to the detected voice command on the display.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to detect the voice command by comparing the recognized voice with a voice command stored in a database.

3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to automatically execute, in response to the voice command, a function corresponding with the menu and to display an execution screen for the menu on the display.

4. The mobile terminal of claim 3, wherein the controller is configured to divide the display into a plurality of display regions and to display the menu or the execution screen for the menu on one of the display regions.

5. The mobile terminal of claim 3, wherein the controller is configured to display the menu or the execution screen for the menu in a separate window.

6. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to detect a plurality of voice commands from the user and to sequentially display menus corresponding to the voice commands on the display according to a detected order.

7. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the menu comprises an option for information sharing, and the controller is configured to transmit information to be shared to a party to the video call in response to a user selecting the option.

The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to display, in response to a function corresponding to the menu being executed, an option for information sharing, and to transmit information to be shared to a party to the video call in response to a user selecting the option.

9. The mobile terminal of claim 7 wherein the option comprises an icon identifying the information, and the controller is configured to transmit the information to the party in response to the user dragging the icon to a region of the display representing the party.

10. The mobile terminal of claim 8 wherein the option comprises an icon identifying the information, and the controller is configured to transmit the information to the party in response to a user dragging the icon to a region of the display representing the party.

11. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is configured to transmit information comprising sound to be shared to the party through a voice calling channel used during the video call.

12. The mobile terminal of claim 8, wherein the controller is configured to transmit image or video information to be shared to the party through a video call channel.

13. The mobile terminal of claim 12, wherein the controller is configured to transmit the information as a file in response to the user selecting a message sending function.

14. A method for displaying a menu of a mobile terminal, comprising:

detecting a voice command of a user included in call content during a video call; and

automatically displaying a menu corresponding to the voice command.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the voice command is one of a name corresponding to the menu, a name corresponding to a function of the menu, or a keyword associated with the menu.

16. The method of claim 15 wherein the keyword is one of a plurality of keywords associated with the menu.

17. The method of claim 14, further comprising displaying an execution screen for the menu on a region of a display in response to the menu being executed.

18. The method of claim 14, further comprising sequentially displaying menus on a region of the display according to a detected order in response to a plurality of voice commands being detected from the user.

19. The method of claim 14, wherein an option to enable information sharing with another party to the video call is displayed in response to a function associated with the menu being executed.

20. The method of claim 19, further comprising transmitting information to be shared to the party.
