PERSONAL TRAINING DEVICE USING GPS DATA
First Claim
1. A portable fitness device operable to provide triathlon performance information for a user, wherein the triathlon comprises a swimming event, a bicycling event, and a running event, the portable fitness device comprising:
- a display;
a satellite navigation receiver operable to determine a current geographic location and a current speed of the device;
a memory operable to store interval information for each of the triathlon events; and
a processor coupled with the display, the satellite navigation receiver, and the memory, the processor operable to;
identify in which triathlon event the user is currently engaged based on the current speed of the device and the interval information stored within the memory;
calculate performance information specific to the identified triathlon event based on the current speed and/or geographic location of the device; and
present on the display a visual indication of the calculated performance information.
