Abstract

A method for processing an audio signal, comprising: receiving a downmix signal, a first multi-channel information, and an object information; processing the downmix signal using the object information and a mix information; and, transmitting one of the first multi-channel information and a second multi-channel information according to the mix information, wherein the second channel information is generated using the object information and the mix information is disclosed.

Claims

1. A method for processing an audio signal performed by an audio coding system, comprising:

receiving a downmix signal comprising at least one object signal and at least one channel signal, and object information determined when the downmix signal is generated;

receiving first multi-channel information;

processing the downmix signal using the object information and mix information; and

,

transmitting one of the first multi-channel information and second multi-channel information according to mode information,

wherein the second channel information is generated using the object information and the mix information.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the mode information corresponds to information indicating whether the first multi-channel information is applied to the processed downmix signal.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the mode information is included in the mix information.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

generating a multi-channel signal using the processed downmix signal and one of the first multi-channel information and the second multi-channel information.

5. An apparatus for processing an audio signal, comprising:

a bitstream de-multiplexer receiving a downmix signal comprising at least one object signal and at least one channel signal, object information determined when the downmix signal is generated, and first multi-channel information; and

,

an object decoder processing the downmix signal using the object information and mix information, and transmitting one of the first multi-channel information and second multi-channel information according to mode information,

wherein the second multi-channel information is generated using the object information and the mix information.

6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the mode information corresponds to information indicating whether the first multi-channel information is applied to the processed downmix.

7. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the mode information is included in the mix information.

8. The apparatus of claim 5, further comprising:

a multi-channel decoder generating a multi-channel signal using the processed downmix signal and one of the first multi-channel information and the second multi-channel information.
