Abstract

The present invention relates to cosmetic compositions in the form of an emulsion comprising at least one aqueous phase and at least one fatty phase, the fatty phase comprising at least one vegetable oil, and the composition comprising at least one volatile solvent of C₉ to C₁₅ volatile linear alkane(s) type and at least one calcium carbonate.

Claims

1. Cosmetic composition in the form of an emulsion comprising at least one aqueous phase and at least one fatty phase, said fatty phase comprising at least one vegetable oil, and said composition comprising at least one volatile solvent of C₉ to C₁₅ volatile linear alkane(s) type and at least one calcium carbonate.

2. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said volatile solvent of volatile linear alkane(s) type contains at least one volatile linear alkane containing 10 to 15 carbon atoms.

3. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said volatile solvent of volatile linear alkane(s) is of plant origin.

4. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said volatile solvent of volatile linear alkane(s) contains at least one volatile linear alkane selected from n-nonane, n-undecane, n-dodecane, n-tridecane, and mixtures thereof.

5. Composition according to claim 1, containing from 0.5% to 90% by weight of volatile solvent of volatile linear alkane(s) type relative to the total weight of the composition.

6. Composition according to claim 1, wherein said calcium carbonate is of natural or synthetic origin.

7. Composition according to claim 1, comprising chalks, limestones, marbles and mixtures thereof as a calcium carbonate source.

8. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the calcium carbonate is in the form of particles having an average size of from 0.1 to 20 μ

m.

9. Composition according to claim 1, containing from 0.1% to 20% by weight of calcium carbonate relative to the total weight of the composition.

Composition according to claim 1, wherein said vegetable oil is selected from aloe oil, sweet almond oil, peach kernel oil, peanut oil, argan oil, avocado oil, candlenut oil, baobab oil, borage oil, broccoli oil, calendula oil, camelina oil, carrot oil, safflower oil, hemp oil, rapeseed oil, cottonseed oil, copra oil, marrow seed oil, wheat germ oil, jojoba oil, shea oil, alfalfa oil, lily oil, macadamia oil, corn oil, meadowfoam oil, St John'"'"'s wort oil, millet oil, monoi oil, hazelnut oil, apricot kernel oil, nut oil, olive oil, evening primrose oil, barley oil, palm oil, passion flower oil, poppy oil, blackcurrant seed oil, kiwi seed oil, grape seed oil, pistachio oil, winter squash oil, pumpkin oil, quinoa oil, musk rose oil, sesame oil, rye oil, soya oil, sunflower oil, castor oil, and watermelon oil, and mixtures thereof.

11. Composition according to claim 1, containing from 0.5% to 80% by weight of vegetable oil relative to the total weight of the composition.

12. Composition according to claim 1, comprising at least one surfactant in a proportion of 0.3% to 20% by weight of surfactants relative to the total weight of the composition.

13. Composition according to claim 1, further comprising at least one colorant.

14. Composition according to claim 1, further comprising at least one cosmetic active and/or dermatological active.

15. Composition according to claim 1, said composition being a foundation.

17. Cosmetic method of making up and/or caring for keratin materials, comprising at least the application to said materials of at least one layer of a composition as defined in claim 1.

16. Method for imparting enhanced stability to an emulsion comprising combining at least one volatile solvent of C₉ to C₁₅ volatile linear alkane(s) type with at least one calcium carbonate in an emulsion comprising at least one vegetable oil.
