13. A method for aligning a femoral head prosthesis implant axis, comprising:

providing a femoral head surgical resurfacing aid, comprising; a C-shaped band with an interior surface conformed to fit a femoral neck of a patient; an arch extending from one side of the C-shaped band to the other side of the C-shaped band and further extending over a femoral head of the patient; and an alignment tube guide positioned along the arch and extending outward from the arch, wherein the axis of the alignment tube guide is parallel and in-line with a planned femoral head prosthesis implant axis; placing the femoral head surgical resurfacing aid in position on the femoral neck of a patient; inserting a boring tool through the alignment tube guide; and drilling a pilot hole into the femoral head with the boring tool. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22)
