Abstract

The disclosure teaches a seating component device for removable installation in a pickup truck. The device includes a first bracket removeably attached to a first side panel of a pickup truck bed and a first cross rail and a second cross rail attached to the bracket wherein each rail extends laterally across the truck bed. The rails connect to a second bracket removeably attached to a second side panel of a pickup truck bed. The device includes two foldable chairs hingeably mounted to the second rail, and a table mounted between the two chairs.

Claims

1. A device for removable installation of seating in a pickup truck bed comprising a first bracket removeably attached to a first side of truck bed side panel, a plurality of rails attached to the first bracket and that extend across the truck bed and are attached to a second bracket that attaches to a second side of a truck bed side panel, and a chair mounted on the rails.

2. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising the rails elevated above the truck bed floor.

3. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising brackets attached to the truck bed floor.

4. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising height adjustable brackets.

5. The seating device of claim 1 wherein the seating device can be adjustably moved forward or backward in relation to a cab of the pickup truck.

6. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising a sleeve adjustably fitted into a rail.

7. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising a table.

8. The seating device of claim 7 further comprising a table that can be adjustably moved in a lateral direction toward a pickup truck side panel or forward or backward in relation to the cab of the pickup truck.

9. The seating device of claim 8 further comprising an umbrella stand.

10. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising an ice chest.

11. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising the brackets moveably mounted on a track.

12. The seating device of claim 11 wherein the track has a radius.

13. The seating device of claim 12 wherein the track is branched and the branches have two equally spaced radii.

14. The seating device of claim 1 further comprising a hinged cover that can be removeably attached to the brackets.

15. A seating component for removable installation in a pickup truck comprising:

a) a first L bracket fitting over a first side panel of a pickup truck bed;

b) a first cross rail and a second cross rail attached to the first L bracket wherein each rail partially extends laterally across the truck bed;

c) a first sleeve adapted to join with the first cross rail and a second sleeve adapted to join with the second cross rail wherein the first sleeve is connected to the second sleeve by a brace;

d) the first sleeve connected to a third cross rail and the second sleeve connected to a fourth rail;

e) the third and fourth rails connected to a second L bracket fitting over a second side panel of a pickup truck bed;

f) two foldable chairs hingeably mounted to the second and fourth rail;

g) two latch components mounted on the first and third rail to hold the unfolded chairs

h) a table mounted on the brace between the two chairs.

16. The device of claim 15 further comprising an umbrella stand with the table.

17. The device of claim 15 wherein the rails span the pickup truck bed over the wheel wells.

18. The device of claim 15 further comprising a mechanism to move the rails forward or backward in relation to a cab of the pickup truck.

19. The device of claim 15 further comprising a mechanism to raise or lower the rails in the truck bed.

20. A method of installing a chair device comprising the steps of:

a) placing a first side L bracket over the side wall of a pickup truck bed panel with two attached rails;

b) sliding two sleeves onto the rails wherein the sleeves are connected by a cross brace;

c) placing the second side L bracket and attached two rails onto a second side of the pickup truck bed; and

d) sliding the two connected sleeves onto the second rails.
