Abstract

System(s) and method(s) are provided to route traffic and signaling between a set of networked femto access points (APs) and devices served there from, and enable management of content and equipment that is part of a network functionally coupled to the set of networked femto APs. Networked equipment spans a network deployed within the coverage area spanned by the set of femto APs. A routing platform functionally couples the networked equipment and the femto AP to enable content manipulation amongst a mobile device and the equipment. Routing platform also affords remote control of the networked equipment. Delivery of advertisement and monetary incentive(s) can be provided through the routing platform to the equipment. Routing platform further provides security features related to operation of specific equipment and wireless services supplied via the routing platform.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

employing one or more processors to execute code instructions stored in one or more computer-readable media, the code instructions when executed by the one or more processor implement the following acts;

attaching to a femto access point within an enterprise femto network;

receiving an indication of a set of available networked sources of content;

selecting a source of content within the set of available networked sources of content; and

exchanging content with the selected source of content.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the networked source of content comprise equipment deployed as part of an intra-premises network functionally coupled to the enterprise femto network.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the equipment includes at least one of a set of devices, one or more servers, or data storage.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving authorization to control a device within an intra-premises network that is part of the enterprise femto network.

5. The method of claim 4, further comprising:

receiving a set of commands to control the device; and

controlling the device in accordance at least in part with one or more commands within the set of received commands.

6. A mobile device, comprising:

a content manager component that enables manipulation of content retained in memory included in the mobile device; and

a transaction component that receives signaling that authorizes content manipulation.

7. The mobile device of claim 6, wherein manipulation of content includes at least exchange of content with a networked device to which the mobile device is allowed access, exchange comprises at least one of extraction of content from the networked device or delivery thereto.

8. The mobile device of claim 6, wherein the content comprises digital material, which includes at least one of monetary incentive received over the air, or a digital signature secured through one or more of encryption or biometric tagging.

9. The mobile device of claim 7, wherein the transaction component communicates control information to convey a command to a device that the mobile device is authorized to control.

10. The mobile device of claim 9, wherein the command is stored in memory and is specific to the device that the mobile device is authorized to control.

11. A method, comprising:

employing one or more processors to execute code instructions stored in one or more computer-readable media, the code instructions when executed by the one or more processor implement the following acts;

receiving an indication of attachment attempt of a device to a femto access point in an enterprise femto network;

conveying an indication of sources of content available to the device, wherein the sources of content are part of an intra-premises network functionally coupled to the mesh femto network;

receiving signaling to manipulate content within one or more of the available sources of content; and

conveying signaling to effect content manipulation within the one or more of the available sources of content.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising:

receiving an indication to authorize a first device to control a second device within the intra-premises network; and

conveying the authorization to control the second device within the intra-premises network.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising conveying a set of commands to control the second device.

14. The method of claim 13, further comprising:

receiving signaling to control the second device in accordance at least in part with one or more commands in the set of conveyed commands; and

delivering the received signaling to effect control of the second device.

15. The method of claim 14, further comprising:

detecting attachment of a mobile device to a femto access point in an enterprise femto network; and

configuring a set of access lists for a set of respective femto APs within the enterprise femto network to regulate access to wireless service through the mobile device.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising configuring access to a set of devices within an intra-premises network based at least in part on subscriber information linked to the mobile device.

17. The method of claim 16, further comprising controlling one or more security devices within an intra-premises network at least in part through one or more femto APs selected based at least in part on the location of the mobile device.

18. A system, comprising:

a routing platform;

an intra-premises network functionally coupled to the routing platform, wherein the intra-premises network includes at least one of a set of devices, one or more servers, or data storage;

a plurality of femto access points (APs) functionally connected to the routing platform, wherein each femto AP in the plurality of femto APs includes a radio control (RC) node that performs at least one of traffic and signaling exchange with the routing platform; and

a backhaul trunk that transports data and control among the routing platform and a controller component functionally linked to a femto network platform that interfaces with one or more external networks.

19. The system of claim 18, the routing platform authorizes a mobile device served through a femto AP within the plurality of femto APs to exchange data with one or more sources of content in the intra-premises network.

20. The system of claim 19, wherein the routing platform conveys the one or more sources of content to the mobile device.

21. The system of claim 18, wherein the routing platform enables control of one more devices in the intra-premises network, to enable control the routing platform conveys a set of commands to the mobile device.

22. The system of claim 21, wherein control includes passive control, which allows monitoring one or more devices within the intra-premises network.

23. The system of claim 19, further comprising a security component that controls access to wireless service for a mobile device based at least in part on subscriber information linked thereto, wherein to effect control, the security component configures a set of access lists for a set of respective femto APs in the plurality of femto APs.

24. The system of claim 19, for a subscriber linked to the mobile device, the security component establishes a set of security clearances to one or more areas covered through the set of femto APs for which access to wireless service is configured.

25. The system of claim 19, wherein the security component controls one or more security devices in the set of devices.
