Abstract

In the setting of distribution contents and distribution time of digital content, data processing efficiency is increased and operability is improved for users. Distribution processing is efficiently executed according to, for example, a position of a portable terminal, and excellent usability is realized for digital content and advertisements. To solve the problem, a system includes a distribution table storage section to store for each portable terminal user a distribution table in which distribution desired digital content identified by designation regarding distribution desired digital content is listed in time series, and a distribution processing section for distributing, when request information of distribution is received from a portable terminal, the distribution desired digital content listed in the distribution table to the portable terminal.

Claims

1. A digital content distribution method of distributing digital content from a digital content distribution apparatus which stores the digital content to a portable terminal via a network, wherein the digital content distribution apparatus has a digital content database which stores the digital content to be distributed and a digital content ID for identifying the digital content to be distributed which are associated with each other, said method comprising the steps of:

transmitting via the network to the digital content distribution apparatus, by the portable terminal including a mobile phone having an unique terminal ID or a portable terminal user ID, designation information for designating the digital content to be requested for distribution and a distribution desired time at which the digital content to be requested for distribution is distributed;

determining, by the digital content distribution apparatus, a distribution time based on the distribution desired time at which digital content request information of the digital content requested by the mobile phone of the portable terminal;

generating a distribution table by listing the digital content ID for identifying the digital content specified by the designation information per the distribution time along time series, and storing the distribution table into a distribution table database per the mobile phone of the portable terminal;

transmitting, by the digital content distribution apparatus, the distribution time of the distribution table to the mobile phone of the portable terminal;

storing, by the mobile phone of the portable terminal, the distribution time determined and transmitted by the digital content distribution apparatus into a storing unit of the mobile phone;

detecting the stored distribution time;

transmitting the digital content request information to the digital content distribution apparatus via the network at the distribution time;

searching, by the digital content distribution apparatus, the distribution table database for the digital content ID corresponding to the unique terminal ID or the portable terminal user ID of the digital content request information;

specifying the digital content corresponding to the digital content ID for which is searched, from the digital content database, and transmitting the specified digital content to the mobile phone of the portable terminal via the network; and

receiving and displaying, by the mobile phone, the digital content.

2. The digital content distribution method according to claim 1,

wherein the mobile phone of the portable terminal transmits information, as the designation information, including the unique terminal ID or the portable terminal ID for identifying the mobile terminal to the digital content distribution apparatus,

wherein the digital content distribution apparatus stores the distribution table per the unique terminal ID or per the portable terminal user ID into the distribution table database, and

wherein the mobile phone of the portable terminal transmits the unique terminal ID or the portable terminal user ID as the digital content request information to the digital content distribution apparatus.

3. The digital content distribution apparatus according to claim 2,

wherein the digital content distribution apparatus calculates the distribution time based one the distribution desired time included in the transmitted designated information, stores information on the distribution time into the distribution table database and transmits the information on the distribution time to the mobile phone of the portable terminal.

4. The digital content distribution method according to claim 3,

wherein the digital content distribution apparatus calculates a time as the distribution time at which the mobile phone of the portable terminal transmits the digital content request information.

5. The digital content distribution method according to claim 4,

wherein the mobile phone of the portable terminal transmits a time, as the desired distribution time, including a desired time for distributing the digital content and a permissible time period which is a permissible range of the desired time for distributing the digital content,

wherein the digital content distribution apparatus specifies a further distribution request which requests to distribute during a time period belonging to the distribution desired time included in the received identification information, and counts a number of the specified further distribution request,

wherein the digital content distribution apparatus determines whether or not the counted number of the specified further distribution request is equal to or higher than a predetermined number, and

wherein, when the counted number is equal to or higher than the predetermined number, the digital content distribution apparatus enlarges the permissible time period to a predetermined time period and calculates the distribution time within the enlarged predetermined time period.

6. The digital content distribution method according to claim 5,

wherein the digital content distribution apparatus calculates the distribution time so as to maintain a predetermined distribution interval of the specified further distribution request and the digital content distribution based on the distribution request within the enlarged predetermined time period.

7. A digital content distribution apparatus which distributes digital content via a network to the portable terminal, comprising:

a digital content database which stores digital content to be distributed and a digital content ID for identifying the digital content to be distributed which are associated with each other;

a designation information receiving unit which receives, via the network, designation information for designating the digital content to be requested for distribution and a desired distribution time of the digital content to be requested;

a distribution table storing unit which determines a distribution time, based on the distribution desired time, for transmitting digital content request information of the digital content requested by the mobile phone of the portable terminal, generates a distribution table by listing the digital content ID, per the distribution time along time series, for identifying the digital content specified by the designation information, and stores the distribution table per the mobile phone of the portable terminal into a distribution table database,

wherein the digital content request information is any terminal identification information of the mobile phone unique ID, the portable terminal user ID and a phone number;

a distribution time transmitting unit which transmits the distribution time of the distribution table to the mobile phone of the portable terminal;

an ID receiving unit which receives the digital content request information transmitted from the mobile phone of the portable terminal which detects the distribution time via the network; and

a content transmitting unit which searches the distribution table database for the digital content ID corresponding to the digital content request information, specifies the digital content corresponding to the digital content ID for which is searched, from the digital content database, and transmits the digital content for which is searched, to the portable terminal via the network.

8. The digital content distribution apparatus according to claim 7,

wherein the designation information receiving unit receives information, as the designation information, including the mobile phone unique ID or the portable terminal user ID for identifying the mobile phone of the portable terminal,

wherein the distribution table storing unit stores the distribution table, per the mobile phone unique ID or the portable terminal user ID, into the distribution table database, and

wherein the receiving unit, which receives the digital content request information, receives from the mobile phone of the portable terminal the mobile phone unique ID or the portable terminal user ID as the digital content request information.

9. The digital content distribution apparatus according to claim 8, further comprising:

a transmitting unit which calculates the distribution time based on the distribution desired time included in the transmitted designation information, stores information on the distribution time into the distribution table database and transmits the information on the distribution time to the mobile phone of the portable terminal.

10. The digital content distribution apparatus according to claim 9, further comprising:

a first processing unit which calculates a time, as the distribution time, at which the mobile phone of the portable terminal transmits the digital content request information.

11. The digital content distribution apparatus according to claim 10,

wherein the receiving unit receives a time, as the distribution desired time, including a time desired for distribution and a permissible time period of the time desired for distribution,

wherein the digital content distribution apparatus further comprises a second processing unit which specifies a further distribution request desired for distributing the digital content during a time period including the distribution desired time included in the received designation information, counts a number of the specified further distribution request, determines whether or not the counted number of the specified further distribution request is equal to or higher than a predetermined number, and

wherein the second processing unit enlarges the permissible time period to the predetermined time period and calculates the distribution time within the enlarged predetermined time period if the counted number of the specified further distribution request is equal to or higher than the predetermined number.

12. The digital content distribution apparatus according to claim 11, further comprising:

a third processing unit which calculates the distribution time so as to maintain the predetermined distribution interval of the specified further distribution request and a distribution of the specified further distribution request within the enlarged predetermined time period.
