Abstract
A method for processing an assessment document. In one aspect, the method may include generating the assessment document having layout information, a test area, and an identifier corresponding to a student, receiving a scanned image of the assessment document after the assessment document has been administered to the student, identifying the test area in the scanned image using the layout information, identifying the student using the identifier in the scanned image, and displaying the test area in response to a request to display the test area for the student.

4. A method for using data generated from a student assessment to develop an action plan for improving student understanding of one or more educational standards, the method performed in a computer having a memory and a processor, comprising the steps of:
