Abstract

Providing object information on the Internet includes configuring a plurality of front-end categories for a plurality of network objects and a plurality of screening conditions for screening the plurality of network objects, where each of the plurality of screening conditions uniquely corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of the front-end categories. Providing object information further includes receiving object information pertaining to a network object, the object information including a screening condition for the network object; storing the object information in a back-end category, determining a front-end category to which the network object belongs, according to the screening condition and storing correlation information of the object and the front-end category, wherein the back-end category is separate from and different than the front-end category.

Claims

1. A method for providing object information on the Internet, comprising:

configuring a plurality of front-end categories for a plurality of network objects and a plurality of screening conditions for screening the plurality of network objects, each of the plurality of screening conditions uniquely corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of the front-end categories;

receiving object information pertaining to a network object, the object information including a screening condition for the network object;

storing the object information in a back-end category;

determining a front-end category to which the network object belongs, according to the screening condition; and

storing correlation information of the object and the front-end category;

wherein

the back-end category is separate from and different than the front-end category.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving selection information pertaining to a selected front-end category and a selected screening condition; and

identifying a correlating object that correlates to the selection information; and

outputting object information pertaining to the correlating object.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein storing the object information in the back-end category comprises:

configuring the back-end category according to a classification scheme of the network object; and

correlating the network object with a selected back-end category that is selected by the terminal.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein:

storing correlation information of the object and the front-end category comprises storing identification information of the front-end category that corresponds to a screening condition of the object into an index of an object that meets the screening condition.

5. The method of claim 2, wherein outputting object information pertaining to the correlating object comprises outputting object information of any object that includes in its index identification information of the selected front-end category.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising updating at least one screening condition corresponding to at least one front-end category according to an instruction received.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising canceling at least one front-end category according to an instruction received.

8. A system for providing object information on the Internet, comprising:

a processor configured to;

configure a plurality of front-end categories for a plurality of network objects and a plurality of screening conditions for screening the plurality of network objects, each of the plurality of screening conditions uniquely corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of the front-end categories;

receive object information pertaining to a network object, the object information including a screening condition for the network object;

store the object information in a back-end category;

determine a front-end category to which the network object belongs, according to the screening condition;

store correlation information of the object and the front-end category;

wherein

the back-end category is separate from and different than the front-end category; and

a memory coupled to the processor, configured to provide the processor with instructions.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein the processor is further configured to:

receive selection information pertaining to a selected front-end category and a selected screening condition; and

identify a correlating object that correlates to the selection information; and

output object information pertaining to the correlating object.

10. The system of claim 8, wherein to store the object information in the back-end category comprises:

to configure the back-end category according to a classification scheme of the network object; and

to correlate the network object with a selected back-end category that is selected by the terminal.

11. The system of claim 8, wherein to store correlation information of the object and the front-end category comprises to store identification information of the front-end category that corresponds to a screening condition of the object into an index of an object that meets the screening condition.

12. The system of claim 9, wherein to output object information pertaining to the correlating object comprises to output object information of any object that includes in its index identification information of the selected front-end category.

13. The system of claim 8, wherein the processor is further configured to update at least one screening condition corresponding to at least one front-end category according to an instruction received.

14. The system of claim 8, wherein the processor is further configured to cancel at least one front-end category according to an instruction received.

15. A computer program product for switching traffic from a plurality of input ports, the computer program product being embodied in a computer readable medium and comprising computer instructions for:

configuring a plurality of front-end categories for a plurality of network objects and a plurality of screening conditions for screening the plurality of network objects, each of the plurality of screening conditions uniquely corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of the front-end categories;

receiving object information pertaining to a network object, the object information including a screening condition for the network object;

storing the object information in a back-end category;

determining a front-end category to which the network object belongs, according to the screening condition; and

storing correlation information of the object and the front-end category;

wherein

the back-end category is separate from and different than the front-end category.
