8. A method for reducing Clostridium counts in an infant subject, comprising feeding the subject with a non-digestible oligosaccharide composition, wherein the subject is
(i) an infant who was delivered by cesarean section, (ii) a premature infant, (iii) an infant suffering from an autistic spectrum disorder, and/or (iv) an infant who has been subjected to antibiotic treatment, thereby reducing the Clostridium counts.
