Abstract

The invention provides a graphical user interface implemented on a computer including an information area for displaying to a user at the computer inspection status information in connection with one or more components of a linear asset infrastructure. The graphical user interface also includes a control component operable by the user at the computer to cause the graphical user interface to display additional information on the one or more components of the linear asset infrastructure.

Claims

1. ) A graphical user interface implemented on a computer, comprising:

a) an information area for displaying to a user at the computer condition status information in connection with conditions recorded against one or more components of a linear asset infrastructure, wherein the conditions being indicative of deviations from operational requirements of the one or more components;

b) a control component operable by the user at the computer to cause the graphical user interface to display additional information on the one or more conditions.

2. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 1, wherein the linear asset infrastructure includes a railway infrastructure.

3. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 2, wherein the condition status information indicates the existence of outstanding conditions.

4. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 3, wherein the condition status information indicates a plurality of outstanding conditions.

5. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 4, wherein the condition status information indicates a degree of severity of the outstanding conditions.

6. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 5, wherein the degree of severity includes a first severity category and a second severity category, the first severity category relating to conditions that are more severe than conditions categorized in the second severity category.

7. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 2, wherein condition status information indicates the existence of completed conditions.

8. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 2, wherein the additional information includes a plurality of entities, each entity corresponding to a condition recorded against a component of the railway infrastructure.

9. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 8, wherein each entity identifies the component of the railway infrastructure against which the condition is recorded.

10. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 8, wherein each entity identifies the condition recorded against the component of the railway infrastructure.

11. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 8, wherein each entity identifies a remedial action to the outstanding condition.

12. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 8, wherein each entity identifies a date at which the condition was recorded against the component of the railway infrastructure.

13. ) A graphical user interface as defined in claim 8, wherein each entity identifies a degree of severity of the condition.
