Abstract
The invention relates to a method for coding data in a transmitted signal, wherein the transmitted signal comprises multiple subcarriers with orthogonal frequencies, the method comprising the step of modulating the signals corresponding to a given subset of the subcarriers of the transmitted signal in order to encode information and the step of modulating the signal corresponding to least one reserved subcarrier depending on at least one optimization criterion relating to a quality of the overall transmitted signal. In order to enhance the quality of the transmitted signal, the optimization criterion depends on at least one first quantity relating to a peak-to-average-power ratio of the transmitted signal and on at least one second quantity relating to an out-of-band power of the transmitted signal.
