An endoscopic instrument comprising a shank (4), which is bendable in at least one section, an endoscope head (8), which forms the distal end of the shank (4) and in which distal-side interfaces of the instrument are arranged, wherein the endoscope head (8) is bendable and is designed as one piece from an electroactive polymer, and electrodes (46, 48) arranged in the endoscope head (8) in the polymer, which electrodes may be subjected to electrical voltage.
