1. An EMG electrode array comprising:

  • a flexible substrate sheet comprised of a generally electrically nonconductive material;

    a plurality of electrically conductive electrodes in operatively supported connection with the substrate sheet;

    a plurality of electrically conductive trace lines in operatively supported connection with the substrate sheet, wherein each electrode includes a respective trace line extending therefrom, wherein the trace lines are relatively narrower than the electrodes, wherein each electrode includes an outside perimeter, wherein each trace line includes opposed sides;

    wherein each portion of the substrate sheet supporting one of the electrodes and supporting a portion of one of the trace lines that extends from the respective electrode, is bounded in part by at least one perforation through the substrate sheet that extends in surrounding relation around the outside perimeter of the one electrode and along the opposed sides of the portion of the trace line that extends from the respective electrode, such that each of the perforation bounded portions of the substrate sheet supporting portions of a respective trace line corresponds to a bendable stem that is narrower than the perforation bounded portions of the substrate sheet supporting the respective electrode from which the respective trace line extends;

    wherein the stems of the substrate sheet for each electrode are sufficiently bendable to enable each of the electrodes to move in a plurality of directions relative to each other electrode, while maintaining the electrodes in electrical connection with the trace lines.
