Abstract

A engine for use with a display is disclosed. The engine includes a presenter that presents at least two audio/visual works, at least one software application capable of at least one metadata-related interaction with the at least audio/visual works, a monetizer for monetizing at least one metadata-related interaction with the at least audio/visual works, and communication points over which the audio/visual works are received, and over which at least a portion of the at least one metadata-related interaction occurs. The at least one metadata-related interaction matches discrete occurrences in said audio/visual works with specific products.

Claims

1. A engine for use with a display, comprising:

a presenter that presents at least two audio/visual works;

at least one software application capable of at least one metadata-related interaction with the at least audio/visual works;

a monetizer for monetizing at least one metadata-related interaction with the at least audio/visual works; and

communication points over which the audio/visual works are received, and over which at least a portion of the at least one metadata-related interaction occurs,

wherein the at least one metadata-related interaction matches discrete occurrences in said audio/visual works with specific products.

2. The engine of claim 1, wherein said matching includes a link to a merchant of said specific products.

3. The engine of claim 1, wherein said metadata includes pricing of items in said works.

4. The engine of claim 1, wherein the specific products are fashion-related products.

5. The engine of claim 1, wherein the specific products are home design products.

6. The engine of claim 1, wherein the specific products are electronics products.

7. The engine of claim 1, wherein the specific products are travel products.

8. The engine of claim 1, wherein the specific products are sporting products.

9. The engine of claim 1, wherein said specific products are exact matches to the discrete occurrences in said works.

10. The engine of claim 1, wherein said specific products are similar looking to the discrete occurrences in said works.

11. The engine of claim 1, wherein said specific products are of similar quality and style to the discrete occurrences in said works.

12. The engine of claim 1, wherein said specific products are related to said discrete occurrences in said works.

13. The engine of claim 12, wherein said relation is based on database information.

14. The engine of claim 12, wherein said relation is based on survey information.

15. The engine of claim 1, wherein said monetizer monetizes based on the matched discrete occurrence in said works with specific products.

16. The engine of claim 1, wherein said monetizer operates based on a cost per impression.

17. The engine of claim 1, wherein said monetizer operates based on a cost per click.

18. The engine of claim 1, wherein said monetizer operates based on a cost per transaction.
