1. A method for monitoring objects in motion (OIMs) along a static route using a system having sensory input devices, the static route having route portions, each route portion having at least one sensory input device for monitoring OIM activity in that route portion, the method comprising:

  • receiving an indication identifying a designated OIM;

    determining if the designated OIM is entering a route portion;

    if the designated OIM is entering a route portion, generating monitored output representing activity in that route portion using the at least one sensory input device for that route portion;

    streaming the monitored output for that route portion to a user;

    determining if the designated OIM is exiting the route portion;

    if the designated OIM is exiting out of the route portion, determining if there are any more route portions and, if there are any more route portions, returning to the determining if the designated OIM is entering a route portion step; and

    if there are no more route portions, stopping the streaming to the user.
