Abstract

A system and method is disclosed providing visualization of a production control framework. The system includes a storage medium stored therein one or more user interfaces providing a visual representation of one or more graphical elements representing one or more entities, the one or more entities comprising one or more work centers, wherein the one or more work centers each comprise one or more user interfaces. The system further includes a storage medium stored therein a job queue display within the one or more user interfaces and a plurality of tasks for each of a plurality of parts produced by the one or more entities.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented system providing visualization of a production control framework stored in a computer-readable medium, comprising:

a storage medium stored therein one or more user interfaces providing a visual representation of one or more graphical elements representing one or more entities, the one or more entities comprising one or more work centers, wherein the one or more work centers each comprise one or more user interfaces,

a storage medium stored therein a job queue display within the one or more user interfaces; and

a storage medium stored therein a plurality of tasks for each of a plurality of parts produced by the one or more entities.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein one or more of the plurality of parts require a demand authorization production control signal.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein one or more of the plurality of tasks for a particular part is displayed in the job queue display of the one or more work centers when a demand authorization production control signal for the particular part is received in the production control framework.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein a production authorization signal field is displayed in the job queue display for each production authorization signal required by any one of the plurality of tasks in the job queue display.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein one or more of the plurality of tasks for a particular part requires a material authorization signal.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein a material authorization signal and a part-specific production control signal required to authorize production of a standard pack of the specific part are displayed in the job queue display.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein one or more of the plurality of parts at a stage 1 work center of the one or more work centers require a constant work-in-process signal and the constant work-in-process signal is displayed in the job queue display of one or more of the work centers.

The system of claim 1, wherein a plurality of tasks for at least one of the plurality of parts requires a work center-specific material authorization signal and the work center-specific material authorization signal is displayed in the job queue display of one or more of the work centers when an empty part-specific production control signal is received for the specific part.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein a specific task of the plurality of tasks is displayed when a material authorization signal and a part-specific production control signal are available to authorize production of a standard pack of the part.

The system of claim 1, wherein one or more of the plurality of tasks for a specific part is displayed in the job queue display of the one or more work centers when an empty part-specific production control signal produced at a downstream work center and when the execution of the plurality of tasks for the specific part is open on the one or more work centers and would not consume the empty part-specific production control signal for that specific part.

11. The system of claim 1, wherein one or more of the plurality of tasks for a specific part is displayed in the job queue display of the one or more work centers when all production authorization signals required for the one or more of the plurality of tasks are available at the one or more work centers.

12. A computer-implemented method providing visualization of a production control framework, comprising:

providing, by a computer, one or more user interfaces representing one or more entities, the one or more entities comprising one or more work centers, wherein the one or more work centers each comprise one or more user interfaces,

providing, by the computer, a job queue display within the one or more user interfaces; and

displaying, by the computer, a plurality of tasks for each of a plurality of parts produced by the one or more entities in the job queue display.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein one or more of the plurality of parts require a demand authorization production control signal.

14. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying one or more of the plurality of tasks for a particular part in the job queue display of the one or more work centers when a demand authorization production control signal for the particular part is received in the production control framework.

15. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying a production authorization signal field in the job queue display for each production authorization signal required by any one of the plurality of tasks in the job queue display.

16. The method of claim 12, wherein one or more of the plurality of tasks for a particular part requires a material authorization signal.

17. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying a material authorization signal and a part-specific production control signal required to authorize production of a standard pack of the specific part in the job queue display.

18. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying one or more of the plurality of parts at a stage 1 work center of the one or more work centers require a constant work-in-process signal and the constant work-in-process signal in the job queue display of one or more of the work centers.

19. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying a plurality of tasks for at least one of the plurality of parts requires a work center-specific material authorization signal and the work center-specific material authorization signal in the job queue display of one or more of the work centers when an empty part-specific production control signal is received for the specific part.

20. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying a specific task of the plurality of tasks when a material authorization signal and a part-specific production control signal are available to authorize production of a standard pack of the part.

21. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying one or more of the plurality of tasks for a specific part in the job queue display of the one or more work centers when an empty part-specific production control signal produced at a downstream work center and the execution of the plurality of tasks for the specific part is open on the one or more work centers and would not consume the empty part-specific production control signal for that specific part.

22. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

displaying one or more of the plurality of tasks for a specific part in the job queue display of the one or more work centers when all production authorization signals required for the one or more of the plurality of tasks are available at the one or more work centers.
