Abstract

The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or method that facilitates creating a portion of an industrial process. An interface component can receive a first portion of data associated with a first programming language and a second portion of data associated with a second programming language, wherein the first programming language is independent and disparate of the second programming language. An editor component can create at least one of a portion of an industrial process or a portion of a mixed language object by enabling the combination of the first portion of data and the second portion of data independent of the respective programming languages.

Claims

1. A system that facilitates creating a portion of an industrial process, comprising:

an interface component that receives a portion of data associated with a plurality of programming languages; and

an editor component that creates at least one of a portion of an industrial process or a portion of a mixed language object by enabling the combination of the portion of data independent of the respective programming languages.

2. The system of claim 1, the programming language is at least one of structured text (ST), instruction list (IL), ladder diagram (LD), function block diagram (FBD), sequential function chart (SFC), function chart (FC), C, or C++.

3. The system of claim 1, the programming language relates to an IEC61131 standard.

4. The system of claim 1, the programming language relates to an IEC61499 standard.

5. The system of claim 1, the programming language is at least one of a graphical programming language, a textual programming language, or an object oriented programming language.

6. The system of claim 1, the editor component creates a custom language from the combination of the plurality of programming languages.

7. The system of claim 1, further comprising a stencil editor component that creates at least one of a stencil or a shape associated with a particular stencil.

8. The system of claim 7, the stencil is a group of at least one shape, wherein the shape is an object defined by at least one of a method or a function.

9. The system of claim 7, the stencil editor component includes a group of objects with respective functionalities respective to a specific programming language.

10. The system of claim 7, the stencil editor component associates a shape to at least one of an existing function and function block or a custom shape with user-defined parameters, snippets, runtime behavior and perspectives and graphical representation.

11. The system of claim 1, further comprising a panel component that enables drag-and-drop of at least one shape from a selected stencil within a document.

12. The system of claim 11, the panel component leverages at least one of a platform or a stencil editor component to import a library for a stencil with at least one shape.

13. The system of claim 1, the editor component utilizes a container for each respective programming language.

14. The system of claim 1, the editor component enables seamless interaction between the plurality of programming languages.

15. The system of claim 1, further comprising an import component that receives a portion of extensible markup language (XML) to create a library and to create a stencil with at least one shape from such received portion of XML.

16. The system of claim 1, the editor component enables the combination of the plurality of programming languages within a document, wherein the document is saved as at least one of a program organization unit (POU) associated with a CAM file or a graphical page associated with an HMI file.

17. The system of claim 16, the document hosts the first programming language and the second programming language and is supported by an HMI container and a programming language container.

18. The system of claim 1, further comprising at least one of the following:

a stencil editor component that enables creation of a custom shape, wherein the shape defines a control system object; and

a panel component that assigns a container type to the shape, wherein the type defines a function for the control system object.

19. A compiler that facilitates creating a portion of a process, comprising:

a stencil builder that creates a stencil with at least one shape, the shape is an object defined by at least one of a method or a function related to a particular programming language;

a panel component that displays at least one stencil with at least one shape, wherein the panel component enables a drag-and-drop for at least one shape to construct a portion of a process within a document;

an editor that combines shapes from a plurality of programming languages to create a portion of a process; and

the editor enables shapes to interact seamlessly independent of the disparate languages associated therewith.

21. The compiler of claim 19, the language is at least one of structured text (ST), instruction list (IL), ladder diagram (LD), function block diagram (FBD), sequential function chart (SFC), function chart (FC), C, or C++.

22. The compiler of claim 19, the language relates to an IEC61131 standard.

23. The compiler of claim 19, the language relates to an IEC61499 standard.

24. The compiler of claim 19, the language is at least one of a graphical programming language or a textual programming language.

25. The compiler of claim 19, the editor creates a custom language in the form of a stencil from the combination of the plurality of languages, wherein a specific combination of the languages is a shape within such stencil.

20. The compiler of system 19, the document enforces a container for each language.

26. A method that facilitates seamlessly combining two or more programming languages to code a portion of a process, comprising:

receiving data related to a plurality of programming languages associated with a standard, wherein the data is related to a shape from a stencil;

combining data to construct a portion of a process; and

utilizing the combined programming languages to create a custom library with at least one custom shape utilized to create a portion of a process.

27. The method of claim 26, the programming language is at least one of structured text (ST), instruction list (IL), ladder diagram (LD), function block diagram (FBD), sequential function chart (SFC), function chart (FC), C, or C++.

28. The method of claim 26, the programming language is at least one of a graphical programming language or a textual programming language

29. The method of claim 26, further comprising allowing the plurality of programming languages to interact seamlessly for a universal coding of the portion of the process independent of a programming language property associated with at least one of the plurality of programming languages.

30. The method of claim 26, further comprising:

creating a shape, wherein the shape defines a control system object; and

assigning a container type to the shape, wherein the type defines a function for the control system object.

31. A computer-implemented system that facilitates creating a portion of an industrial process, comprising:

means for receiving data associated with a plurality of programming languages; and

means for creating at least one of a portion of an industrial process or a portion of a mixed language object by enabling the combination of the data independent of the respective programming languages.

32. The computer-implemented system of claim 31, further comprising means for creating a custom language from the combination of the plurality of programming languages.

33. The computer-implemented system of claim 31, further comprising:

means for creating a shape, wherein the shape defines a control system object; and

means for assigning a container type to the shape, wherein the type defines a function for the control system object.
