- a display screen that displays selectable items;
a receiving unit that receives operational input from a user;
a display control unit that causes to be displayed on the display screen as objects, the selectable items and a 3-dimensional virtual space centered about a vantage point of the user viewing the display screen;
a detecting unit that detects an angular state of the user input apparatus;
a focusing unit that focuses a selectable item according to the detected angular state; and
a control unit that performs control causing reception of selection that is made via the operational input from the receiving unit and with respect to the selectable item focused by the focusing unit.
