Abstract

In accordance with an example embodiment of the invention, an apparatus comprising a processor configured to receive information related to a media object, and automatically select at least one supplemental media object based at least in part on a competency of a user related to the media object is disclosed.

Claims

1. An apparatus, comprising a processor configured to:

receive information related to a media object; and

automatically select at least one supplemental media object based at least in part on a competency of a user related to said media object.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said processor is further configured to determine said competency.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said processor is further configured to receive said competency.

4. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said automatic selection comprises selecting said at least one supplemental media object from a plurality of media objects.

5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said automatic selection comprises selecting said at least one supplemental media object based at least in part on history information.

6. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said automatic selection comprises selecting said at least one supplemental media object based at least in part on position information.

7. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said competency determination comprises evaluation of history information.

8. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein said history information comprises position information.

9. The apparatus of claim 7, wherein said history information comprises media object usage information.

10. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said competency determination comprises evaluation of user activity information.

11. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein said user activity information comprises position information.

12. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein said user activity information comprises device activity information.

13. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein said user activity information comprises motion information.

14. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said at least one supplemental media object relates to a context as similar to a context of said media object.

15. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said received information relates to a user selection.

16. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the processor comprises at least one memory that contains executable instructions that if executed by the processor cause the apparatus to receive information related to a media object, determine competency of a user related to said media object, and automatically select at least one media object based at least in part on said determined competency.

18. The method of claim 1, further comprising determining said competency.

19. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving said competency.

17. A method comprising:

receiving information related to a media object; and

automatically selecting at least one media object based at least in part on a competency of a user related to said media object.

20. The method of claim 17, wherein said automatic selecting comprises selecting said at least one supplemental media object from a plurality of media objects.

21. The method of claim 17, wherein said automatic selecting comprises selecting said at least one supplemental media object based at least in part on history information.

22. The method of claim 17, wherein said automatic selecting comprises selecting said at least one supplemental media object based at least in part on position information.

23. The method of claim 17, wherein said competency determination comprises evaluation of history information.

24. The method of claim 23, wherein said history information comprises position information.

25. The method of claim 23, wherein said history information comprises media object usage information.

26. The method of claim 17, wherein said competency determination comprises evaluation of user activity information.

27. The method of claim 26, wherein said user activity information comprises position information.

28. The method of claim 26, wherein said user activity information comprises device activity information.

29. The method of claim 26, wherein said user activity information comprises motion information.

30. A computer program product comprising a computer-readable medium bearing computer program code embodied therein for use with a computer, the computer program code comprising:

code for receiving information related to a media object; and

code for automatically selecting at least one media object based at least in part on a competency of a user related to said media object.

31. A computer-readable medium encoded with instructions that, when executed by a computer, perform:

receiving information related to a media object; and

automatically selecting at least one media object based at least in part on a competency of a user related to said media object.
