46. A method of controlling a cooling means in order to decrease the thermal load on animals, characterized in that said method comprises the steps:
-
to start said cooling means when the air temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold value and/or a parameter, dependent on the relative humidity of air, exceeds a predetermined threshold value, wherein said cooling means is a cooling fan and/or an evaporative cooling means; to measure the speed of air at said cooling fan with the aid of an air speed measuring means; to sense the temperature of the skin and/or the body and/or the ambient temperature in the vicinity of an animal; and to adjust said air speed in dependence of said sensed temperature of the skin and/or the body and/or the ambient temperature in the vicinity of said animal. - View Dependent Claims (47, 48, 49, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 58, 59, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 86)
