Abstract

A method of transmitting and receiving a status report in a mobile communication system and a transmitter for the same are disclosed. A method of transmitting a status report in a mobile communication system includes triggering transmission of one status report, constituting the status report by using at least two status data blocks, which include reception status information of a plurality of data blocks transmitted from a transmitting side and indication information indicating that the data blocks are included in the status report, and transmitting the at least two status data blocks to the transmitting side.

Claims

1. A method of transmitting a status report in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:

triggering transmission of a status report;

configuring the status report by using at least two status data blocks, each of the at least two data blocks including reception status information of a plurality of data blocks transmitted from a transmitting side and indication information indicating that the at least two status data blocks belong to the status report; and

transmitting the at least two status data blocks to the transmitting side.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the indication information is an identifier for identifying the status report from other status reports.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein each status data block includes a sequence number.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein each status data block includes a field for indicating whether a corresponding data block is the last status data block belonging to the status report.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein each status data block includes an indicator for indicating that the status report comprises the at least two status data blocks.

6. A method of receiving a status report in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:

transmitting a plurality of data blocks to a receiving side;

receiving, from the receiving side, at least two status data blocks including reception status information of the plurality of data blocks and indication information indicating that the data blocks belong to the status report; and

acquiring reception status information of the plurality of data blocks from the at least two status data blocks by using the indication information.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the indication information is an identifier for identifying the status report from other status reports.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein each status data block includes a sequence number.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein each status data block includes a field for indicating whether a corresponding data block is the last status data block belonging to the status report.

10. The method of claim 6, wherein each status data block includes an indicator for indicating that the status report comprises that at least two status data blocks.

11. A structure of any one of at least two status data blocks belonging to a status report in a mobile communication system, the structure comprising:

reception status information indicating reception status blocks transmitted from a transmitting side; and

indication information indicating that the status data block belongs to the status report.

12. The structure of claim 11, wherein the indication information is an identifier for identifying the status report from other status reports.

13. The structure of claim 11, wherein the status data block further includes a sequence number.

14. The structure of claim 13, wherein the status data block further includes a field for indicating whether a corresponding data block is the last status data block belonging to the status report.

15. The method of claim 11, wherein the status data block further includes an indicator for indicating that the status report comprises the at least two status data blocks.

16. A transmitter for transmitting a status report in a mobile communication system, the transmitter comprising:

a means for triggering transmission of a status report;

a means for configuring the status report by using at least two status data blocks, each of the at least two data blocks including reception status information of a plurality of data blocks transmitted from a transmitting side and indication information indicating that the at least two status data blocks belong to the status report; and

a means for transmitting the at least two status data blocks to the transmitting side.
