1. A method of interfacing with a user, said method comprising:
- executing a native application on a portable computer system, wherein said portable computer system comprises a display screen and a user input device;
using said native application, displaying of plurality of applications for selection by a user;
in response to a user selection of a first of said plurality of applications, said portable computer system causing said first application to be executed on a remote computer system, wherein execution of said first application generates first enterprise content at said remote computer system;
said native application receiving said first enterprise content and parsing said first enterprise content for display thereof; and
said native application rendering a representation of said first enterprise content on said display screen.

Abstract
A method, system and graphical user interface for enabling a user to access enterprise data and interact with enterprise applications generating the enterprise data using a portable electronic device is disclosed. A native application for a portable electronic device enables a user of the portable electronic device to initiate or interact with one or more enterprise applications. Each of the enterprise applications is executed remotely on a system in communication with the portable electronic device, where the portable electronic device may communicate data to the remote system and display data received from the remote system. Processing resources and storage resources of the remote system may be utilized to execute the enterprise application, thereby enabling a user to initiate or interact with a computationally-intensive enterprise application using a portable electronic device.

a first component operable to execute a plurality of enterprise applications; a portable electronic device communicatively coupled to said first component and disposed remotely from said first component, wherein said portable electronic device is operable to execute a plurality of native applications, wherein said plurality of native applications comprises a native enterprise application operable to initiate execution of at least one enterprise application of said plurality of enterprise applications on said first component; a second component communicatively coupled between said first component and said portable electronic device, wherein said second component is operable to transform enterprise content from said at least one enterprise application into enterprise web content for rendering on said portable electronic device; and wherein said portable electronic device is further operable to display said enterprise web content for enabling user interaction with said at least one enterprise application executed by said first component. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18)
